13 Reasons Why Star Katherine Langford Won"t Be Returning As Hannah Baker For A Potential Third Season

Say goodbye to Hannah Baker all over again. 13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford revealed that if the Netflix series returns for a third season, she won't come back as Hannah Baker, the girl whose suicide sparked the drama of the first two seasons. Though the Golden Globe nominee [...] Say goodbye to Hannah Baker all over again. 13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford revealed that if the Netflix series returns for a third season, she won't come back as Hannah Baker, the girl whose suicide sparked the drama of the first two seasons. Related: Thor & More Headed To Netflix In June! Though the Golden Globe nominee appears in the second season as Hannah in flashbacks from other characters' perspectives, and as a ghost-like presence with Dylan Minnette's Clay, Langford said goodbye to her character at the end of season one. The actress explained to EW [vague spoilers!]: "For me, we told Hannah's story so fully in season one. And in a way, doing that scene in episode 13, I've so often referred to it as it was the hardest scene because it's the scene where I had to let her go. I think coming back this season was challenging because it was playing her but not really her. The challenge was when you tell a character's story so fully, and then you have to come back as a version of her that's filtered through other people's eyes; that required a lot of trust." While Langford wasn't fully playing the character this time around, she acknowledged the importance of Hannah's return for the second season: "I guess if I could put Hannah's life into season one and then say it was kind of like being in purgatory for season two, and then being able to officially say goodbye to her. It definitely felt like time. For me, letting Hannah go was in season one; season two was for Clay to let her go. It was being able to assist Clay on that journey as Hannah and let Clay have his moment to let Hannah go." Now, Clay -- and, more tragically, fans -- will have no choice but to say goodbye to the beloved Baker girl. Related: Jason Bateman Apologizes For Tone Deaf Jeffrey Tambor Defense Though Langford won't be appearing in season three should the show return, she said Hannah's impact would definitely still be felt: "Even though she may not be part of another season, I think that her presence and the importance of her and her story will always matter and will always be there. To be specific in this season, the big thing to take away is in regards to the trial where her image is distorted and defiled. At the end of the day one of the really important things to take from this season in regards to Hannah is that it doesn't matter who she was or what she did, she didn't deserve any of what happened to her." Season two followed an entirely original story about Hannah's parents suing the school district over her suicide. Her friends and classmates were put on the stand and told their versions of the events depicted in season one as well as previously untold stories. It's likely the teen drama will be renewed for a new season, but it's unclear what direction it will take after it moves on from the girl who ended her life. [Image via Netflix.].....»»

Thousands of American Airlines flights are without pilots next month after a scheduling glitch allowed ALL pilots to take vacation over Christmas week! While pilots loaded up their schedules with flights in early December, many opted to take days off around the busy holiday travel period simply because the system allowed it. Related: Law & Order: SVU To Tackle Scandal Harassment In Airline Industry But it wasn't a miracle in gate 34 -- it was all thanks to a computer error that, according to American Airlines captain Dennis Tajer, made the scheduling system go "from responsibly scheduling everybody to becoming Santa Claus to everyone." Speaking to CNBC, the pilot added: "The airline is a 24/7 op... The computer said, 'Hey ya'll. You want the days off? You got it.'" What was a Christmas miracle for pilots, however, turned out to be a holiday nightmare for the largest U.S. airline. According to a rep, American is "working diligently to address the issue" by offering pilots 150 percent of hourly pay to work those dates. Spokesman Matt Miller explained in a statement: "We have reserve pilots to help cover flying in December, and we are paying pilots who pick up certain open trips 150 percent of their hourly rate — as much as we are allowed to pay them per the contract. We will work with the APA to take care of our pilots and ensure we get our customers to where they need to go over the holidays." To all those passengers without a pilot to fly their plane: it's not too late to book a Greyhound! [Image via Paramount Pictures.].....»»

It’s a proud and storied part of the biz that happens each Spring, and recently the major networks went through the process of deciding which series would be getting the boot and which would be renewed for another season. People with rich personal lives often pick a canceled show to flip their shit over, and this year it was Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I think Chelsea Peretti is a funny chick, but actress Andy Samberg is an annoying chick, and if she was half as funny as she thinks she is, she’d still be shit. I hate that show. And of course it got renewed after fan uproar. Check out the full list of renewed series, via TVbythenumbers, and let us know what needs to go. Remember, Katy Perry gets paid $25 million for American Idol. In the stand-up special, Hannah gets up close and personal about her life and growing up gay on the small island of Tasmania. She also says that she is quitting comedy, so what’s next for her? Hannah still has some scheduled performances of Nanette coming up in New York this week (which are already sold out). After these shows, she doesn’t plan on performing it again. “I’m looking forward to not doing anything more. It feels good to have it sealed off in a, you know, a time capsule. Because it is a constantly evolving show,” Hannah told Vulture. “It’s taken its toll. I don’t recognize my life anymore — in both good and bad ways. I’m a different person. I feel differently in the world. I think it’s gonna take a very long time for me to understand what I’ve done, but I have to stop doing the show in order to understand that. I mean that both from a career, and also in my psychological, um, journey,” she added. You can watch Hannah Gadsby’s Nanette now on Netflix......»»
