Women around the world are now coming forward with stories about Harvey Weinstein. Most happened years ago and are no longer actionable in the U.S. But in the U.K., there is no statute of limitations on sexual abuse. Related: Kate Beckinsale Claims Weinstein Hit On Her When She Was Only 17 Apparently a claim in the Merseyside area of England merited a brand new investigation despite allegedly occurring around three decades ago. According to DailyMail.com, police in Liverpool confirmed: "Merseyside Police can confirm a report was received at 8.40am on Wednesday of an alleged sexual assault in the London area in the 1980s. The report has been referred to the Metroplitan Police." Scotland Yard was even more tight-lipped, but they did say they were looking into it: "We can confirm the Metropolitan Police Service was passed an allegation of sexual assault by Merseyside Police on Wednesday, 11 October. The allegation will be assessed by officers from the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command." BTW, there's been no indication that child abuse was involved. That's just what the U.K. calls their SVU. Wouldn't it be nice if there were no statute of limitations on sexual abuse in the States? [Image via Lia Toby/WENN.].....»»

LAPD Opens Harvey Weinstein Rape Investigation As TWO New Accusers Come Forward!

We already know the infamous Hollywood heavyweight is being investigated for sexual assault in the U.K. with its lack of statute of limitations. He may even have to answer for the 1997 accusations of Rose McGowan thanks to a legal loophole in Utah. But according to the latest reports, he is now being investigated in his own city. Related: All Women Who Have Accused Harvey Weinstein So Far The LAPD confirmed an Italian model-actress (who wished to remain anonymous) has officially become the sixth woman to accuse Weinstein of rape or forcible sex acts. The now-38-year-old tells the L.A. Times she met Weinstein for only the second time at the Los Angeles Italia Film, Fashion and Art Fest in February 2013. After they spoke briefly at the fest, he showed up "without warning" at her hotel lobby asking to come up. She said no, but he got her room number and came up anyway, soon bullying his way in telling her he "just wanted to talk." But he didn't: "Once inside, he asked me questions about myself but soon became very aggressive and demanding and kept asking to see me naked. He grabbed me by the hair and forced me to do something I did not want to do. He then dragged me to the bathroom and forcibly raped me." She says she tried to stop him by showing him photos of her children, but it didn't do any good. In all, she says, the encounter lasted 45 minutes: "When he left, he acted like nothing happened. I barely knew this man. It was the most demeaning thing ever done to me by far. It sickens me still. … He made me feel like an object, like nothing with all his power... All these years I've been thinking why I didn't call the police immediately. I regret that I opened the door." Today also brings yet another new accusation from Russian TV host Katya Mtsitouridze (above, right), who recounted to The Hollywood Reporter an incident with Weinstein 13 years ago: "I first met Mr. Weinstein in the Regent hotel at the Berlin film festival [in 2003], where I was doing a television interview with George Clooney for Channel One. Harvey was co-producer of Clooney's directorial debut, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. After the interview, he came up to me saying that he liked my questions and would love to have lunch in his room — that he loved Russian culture, especially Chekhov, and that his grandparents were originally from Russia — and that we could have an interesting conversation. I was surprised and told him, rather ironically, that, of course, it would be an honor, but I was afraid my boyfriend would not be happy about our cultural tete-a-tete, but if he wished to invite him, there would be no problem." Harvey didn't like that, says Katya, so instead he gave her his number and over the next few months whenever their paths wold cross at junkets, he would remind her to call him. But it was at the Venice Film Festival in 2004 that Katya says she got the full Weinstein. Related: France's Got Talent Judge Accused Of Sexual Misconduct Against NINE Women, Including A 14-Year-Old! He invited her after a screening of Finding Neverland to discuss an idea he had for modern Russian writers. Katya thought it was legit since he was a publisher as well -- but again she refused to meet with him alone in his room, instead telling him to meet her at the Excelsior hotel cafe, a public place full of industry professionals. When she got there, Harvey's assistant showed up instead saying he wasn't feeling well, so could she meet him upstairs. She was hesitant but "the assistant said that he would be joining us, so I went up." That's when the assistant "instantly disappeared," and Katya met the real Harvey: "I was frozen into immobility like a statue, because a well-known producer with whom I've come to discuss modern Russian writers, was in a bathrobe." Ugh. He apparently told her his masseuse was late but that they could have fun while he waited. She also remembers him saying: "'You will love it. I'm a guru in this matter. You never met a man like me.'" Though she doesn't know if he meant massage or not. She says she wondered if the press junket down the hall would hear her screams when she was saved "like a scene from a bad movie" when a waiter returned to the room with a bucket of champagne. She used the opportunity and made a swift exit. She saw Harvey again around a decade later at Cannes, when the two were introduced by a mutual acquaintance who didn't know they had met. She says she was nervous but recalls: "But Harvey, acting as if nothing had happened, kissed my hand and said quietly so that only I could hear: 'Don't even think about saying anything. Forget all about it. Be a smart girl.'" She never did say anything. But she is now. And so are a lot more women. [Image via Instagram/WENN.].....»»

Harvey Weinstein Could Still Face Prosecution For Rose McGowan Rape Thanks To Legal Loophole

We knew Harvey Weinstein could still be looking at charges in the U.K., where there is no statute of limitations on rape, but it turns out there is a legal loophole that could require him to face allegations stateside. The assault was alleged to have occurred [...] We knew Harvey Weinstein could still be looking at charges in the U.K., where there is no statute of limitations on rape, but it turns out there is a legal loophole that could require him to face allegations stateside. Specifically, accusations by Rose McGowan that the Miramax head raped her. The assault was alleged to have occurred at the Sundance Film Festival in 1997. At the time in Utah, the statute of limitations on rape was only four years. Even though that law was changed in 2008, the U.S. Supreme Court has upheld that dead cases must stay dead for logistical reasons, sort of a grandfather clause for monsters. Related: All 45 Women Who Have Accused Harvey Weinstein So Far But here's where there is a possibility -- Utah, like most states, has a policy of stopping the clock on the statute of limitations when the defendant is out of the state. In other words, the four years had to have passed while Harvey was still in Utah. He wasn't there for four years between 1997 and 2008, as he doesn't live there, so there is legal precedent for the case moving forward. Obviously, there are other considerations like legal challenges to whether this case fits the letter of the law, not to mention evidence in a case 20 years cold. But it could be possible. According to The Hollywood Reporter, authorities in Park City have not received an official complaint from Rose. Yet. [Image via Hoo-Me.com/Media Punch.].....»»

But what would have happened if they fought back? Video: Rose McGowan's Powerful Speech At The Detroit Women's Convention According to Robert Rodriguez, he did try to help Rose McGowan beat Harvey's "blacklisting" of her -- by casting her in his Weinstein Company-funded film Grindhouse. In fact, in an official essay for Variety, he reveals the plot of his half of the throwback double feature with Quentin Tarantino was inspired by her story, something he could never talk about before: "I have not previously discussed what I knew about the 1997 incident that Rose suffered in a hotel room during the Sundance Film Festival. I never wanted to do anything that jeopardized a legal settlement she entered into with Harvey Weinstein. Now that she's able to tell her story, I want to provide an account of what I knew, when I knew it, and what I did about it." Rodriguez says he first learned of her "blacklisting" at Cannes in 2005, when she explained to him why she hadn't auditioned for Sin City. She told him the whole story of the assault -- and the subsequent legal action: "Rose told me that all she could do at the time was to get Harvey Weinstein to donate money to an abused women's shelter and in return she had to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that forbade her from talking about the horrific violation without being sued, and that she shouldn't even be telling me. To add insult to injury, she told me that she was blacklisted from even auditioning for any Weinstein movies." That's when the director got PISSED -- and decided to go renegade: "I then revealed to Rose right then and there that I was about to start writing a movie with Quentin Tarantino, a double feature throwback to 70's exploitation movies, and that if she was interested, I would write her a BAD ASS character and make her one of the leads. I wanted her to have a starring role in a big movie to take her OFF the blacklist, and the best part is that we would have Harvey's new Weinstein Company pay for the whole damn thing." But they got to throw it in Harvey's face sooner than they were expecting: "Just as I finished telling Rose this, I saw Harvey walking around the party! I called Harvey over to our table, and as soon as he got close enough to see that I was sitting with Rose, his face dropped and went ghostly white. I said, "Hey Harvey, this is Rose McGowan. I think she's amazing and really talented and I'm going to cast her in my next movie." Harvey then dribbled all over himself in the most over the top performance I'd ever seen as he gushed, "Oh she's wonderful, oh she's amazing, oh she's fantastic, oh she's so talented… You two should definitely work together." And then he skittered off. I knew right then that every word Rose told me was true, you could see it all over his face." They made the film, a star-studded, strangely meta movie that played like two '70s B movies, complete with fake trailers for other movies made by friends like Eli Roth and Edgar Wright. It was crazy and long and ahead of its time -- and Rose is spectacular in it. Unfortunately it completely tanked at the box office. Rodriguez still believes Harvey's vendetta against Rose is what kept the movie from even being given a fighting chance with a proper ad campaign, etc. He explains: "But because of the NDA Rose told me she had signed, at Rose's request I had to keep it quiet from everyone until now as to why we were even making that film together, especially Harvey. We knew that strategically we couldn't rub it in his face why we were REALLY doing this movie, because then he'd just bury the movie, not sell it well, and everyone would lose. To our horror, Harvey buried our movie anyway, and because we did not want to risk getting sued, we never spoke publicly about the matter... I am still haunted and disillusioned that after all the good intentions, immense pain and struggle Rose and I and so many talented people went through to make the film, that Harvey Weinstein won in the end by burying the movie just because Rose was the lead actress." Robert wishes they could have spoken about the inspiration of the film, the fight behind the scenes before now. And he hopes this new conversation will change things in Hollywood and other businesses: "It's been really difficult to admit and come to terms that the NDA handcuffs forced us to needlessly jump through hoops that today would have been unnecessary because of Rose's fearlessness to speak out, despite the consequences. I hope that new legislation will result in NDAs to be legally null and void in situations where rape and assault have been committed and where power is so unequally distributed." Hear, hear! "Looking back over the years, I have wondered if I would have made the same choices, knowing the bleak outcome. We all suffered greatly on the film, and the journey ended up costing us all more than we ever bargained for. For me personally, it cost me my marriage of 16 years, my family, a large dose of sanity, and for years I have grappled with the sobering idea that maybe I made a grave error in standing up at all, when no one was even asking me to." OK, we have to stop right there -- was it really the movie failing at the box office that cost you your marriage, Robert? Or did dating your star do it? In case you didn't know, Robert and Rose went public with their relationship when the movie came out -- immediately after news of his split with his wife, Elizabeth Avellan, hit. Photos: 10 Movies That Ruined Celebrity Relationships Not the point, we know, but gotta be honest here. Anyway, go on: "I know that's not the message I'd ever want to send out, but it's been hard to justify something that now is clear was a lose/lose situation from the get-go, and that in the end failed and simply caused more damage. The reason I'm saying this is because it's very clear to me now that when someone does what Harvey Weinstein did, the devastation goes far beyond predator and victim. These past few weeks have given me new clarity and hope by seeing the tide finally turn, seeing Harvey finally on the run, and seeing all the brave women who have come forth with their own shocking and distressing stories of abuse. Since I've seen a distinct lack of stories coming from men who may have tried to do the right thing, I wanted to come forth to say that no matter the consequences, no matter how far you have to stick your neck out, no matter what you have to lose, that we must fight the good fight. Everyone has to make a stand and take action." Damn right they do! Because two against the world isn't enough. This fight needs to be ALL of us against them. [Image via Z. Following the explosive New York Times exposé which detailed the indie movie mogul's decades of sexual harassment, several women have come forward to discuss their unsavory experiences with Weinstein. One of the latest people to speak out is model Zoe Brock. Related: Nelly Responds To Sexual Assault Arrest It's been 20 years since Miz Brock's encounter with Harvey, but she clearly remembers how he allegedly lured her back to his hotel room and begged for a massage. Now, if you read the Times coverage, you know that was Weinstein's total M.O. Per Zoe's Medium post, she was only 23 years old when she was "Harveyed." Apparently, the New Zealand-born beauty met Weinstein in 1997 while they were both at the Cannes Film Festival. She revealed: "I met Harvey Weinstein in Cannes at the Film Festival. We were seated next to each other at a fancy dinner. I didn't catch his name and assumed I was talking to another hungry producer trying to sell a little movie to the big wigs. Feeling sorry for him, I went out of my way to be entertaining and nice. It wasn't until later in the meal that I asked the name of his production company." After learning that they had a mutual friend in common, the two industry professionals spent some time together at the film festival. Zoe continued: "With a dear mutual friend in common I felt safe with Harvey. The night was young and so was I. After dinner our large group, which included my Italian modeling agent, a few rich douchebags, some decorative models, and Harvey's entourage, rolled out into the Cannes night. Black town cars and gleaming limos took us to various parties where we glittered and shone like everyone else. Harvey and his assistant, Ben Silverman, never left my side." While the conversation between Zoe and Harvey could've been misconstrued as flirtatious, Brock insists that she only felt "platonic energy" for him. Which makes it so much more troubling that Weinstein and his assistant seemingly manipulated it so that she was separated from her friends: "My group was ushered into one car and I was somehow separated from them and told to get into another car with Harvey and his two friends. Stupidly, I obliged. I was told we were all going to the same place. To this day I do not know if my Italian agent was in on the ruse. My instincts tell me he was." How awful. Things only got worse for Zoe as she relayed: "The energy shifted and I became very uncomfortable... And suddenly I was alone in a remote hotel suite with Harvey fucking Weinstein. My body went into high alert. I was drunk, young, miles from home, without cash to get a cab, and no cell phone... It was time to sober up, and fast." To make matters worse, Harvey moved quickly to proposition Zoe as he was naked and asking for massage almost as soon as they were alone. The model added: "Harvey left the room, but not for long. He re-emerged naked a couple of minutes later and asked if I would give him a massage. Panicking, in shock, I remember weighing up the options and wondering how much I needed to placate him to keep myself safe. He asked if I would like a massage instead, and for a second I thought this might be a way to give him an inch without him taking a mile. I told him I was uncomfortable and that I was angry that I had been tricked into this position. He pleaded with me to let him massage me and I let him put his hands on my shoulders while my mind raced." In an attempt to escape the filmmaker, Zoe locked herself in the bathroom as Harvey pleaded with her to come out. After reprimanding Harvey through a locked door, Brock eventually emerged and found Weinstein whimpering on the bed: "Harvey, contrite, promised to cover himself and leave me alone. I came out of the bathroom and found him sitting on his bed, wearing a bathrobe, crying. 'You don't like me because I'm fat.' He whimpered." Tsk, tsk. Supposedly, the assistant tried to apologize as Zoe has claimed he told her: "'I'm so sorry,' he said. 'I want you to know that of all the girls he does this to you are the one I really felt bad about. You deserve better.'" Ben Silverman, if you're reading this, SHAME ON YOU. Smh. According to Zoe, Weinstein let her stay at his suite at the Majestic Hotel. However, after a friend warned her that Harvey would be back in the morning, the brunette fled the hotel room at 6 a.m. In an attempt to downplay the scandalous nature of their encounter, Harvey sent Zoe red roses and booked a private movie screening for her at the festival. Both presents were unwanted. Be sure to read Zoe's full account for yourself HERE. [Image via Facebook/WENN.].....»»

Sadly, now we're hearing one from Lupita Nyong'o. Related: All 45+ Women Who Have Accused Harvey Weinstein So Far The Black Panther actress opened up in a lengthy New York Times op-ed on Thursday, in which she says she felt "a flare of rage" in learning how many women had been through what she had: "I had shelved my experience with Harvey far in the recesses of my mind, joining in the conspiracy of silence that has allowed this predator to prowl for so many years. I had felt very much alone when these things happened, and I had blamed myself for a lot of it, quite like many of the other women who have shared their stories. But now that this is being discussed openly, I have not been able to avoid the memories resurfacing. I have felt sick in the pit of my stomach." Here is her story: "I met Harvey Weinstein in 2011 at an awards ceremony in Berlin, while I was still a student at the Yale School of Drama. An intermediary introduced him to me as "the most powerful producer in Hollywood." As an aspiring actress, I was of course eager to meet people in the industry but cautious about strangers, and the intentions of men in general." She asked her dinner companions about Harvey and was given the typical response that he could be "a bully" -- which meant it was better to have him in her corner than against her. Ultimately she says he was somewhat "charming" despite his directness, and that "he didn't alarm" her at first. So when he invited her to watch a screening of a film with his family at his home in Connecticut -- near where she was living in New Haven -- she accepted. Related: Channing Tatum Cuts All Ties With The Weinstein Company His family was actually there, at least. But when they all gathered to watch the film, that's when Harvey pounced: "I settled in for the film, but about 15 minutes in, Harvey came for me, saying he wanted to show me something. I protested that I wanted to finish the film first, but he insisted I go with him, laying down the law as though I too was one of his children." In his home with his children there. Ick. "Harvey led me into a bedroom — his bedroom — and announced that he wanted to give me a massage. I thought he was joking at first. He was not. For the first time since I met him, I felt unsafe. I panicked a little and thought quickly to offer to give him one instead: It would allow me to be in control physically, to know exactly where his hands were at all times... He agreed to this and lay on the bed. I began to massage his back to buy myself time to figure out how to extricate myself from this undesirable situation. Before long he said he wanted to take off his pants. I told him not to do that and informed him that it would make me extremely uncomfortable. He got up anyway to do so and I headed for the door, saying that I was not at all comfortable with that. 'If we're not going to watch the film, I really should head back to school,' I said. I opened the door and stood by the frame. He put his shirt on and again mentioned how stubborn I was. I agreed with an easy laugh, trying to get myself out of the situation safely. I was after all on his premises, and the members of his household, the potential witnesses, were all (strategically, it seems to me now) in a soundproof room." That time, Lupita was able to leave somewhat easily enough. She says she even justified the massage request to herself, though it helped that Harvey had enticed her with the possibility of a job (on an HBO show she later found out was already off the air). But she was still uneasy with Harvey, so when he invited her to a reading of the play version of Finding Neverland, she politely refused -- until he told her she could bring anyone she wanted. She attended with two male friends. Related: Quentin Tarantino Knew Harvey 'Did A Couple Of These Things'! Nothing untoward happened the entire evening, including when a large group went out for dinner and drinks. So the next time he invited her to a screening -- this time of Madonna's film W.E. -- she accepted. "Feeling more confident about the new sense of boundaries that we had established in our last meeting, I attended the screening on my own this time. Afterward, as planned, his male assistant arranged for me to get to the Tribeca Grill, where Harvey would be joining us. I met a female assistant when I arrived there. I was expecting that it would be a group of us, as it had been for the reading, but she informed me it would just be Mr. Weinstein. She would sit with me until he arrived. She seemed on edge, but I could only imagine how stressful it was to work for a man who had so much going on." As with other stories we've heard, the assistant "immediately disappeared" after Harvey arrived. And this time he was direct: "Before the starters arrived, he announced: 'Let's cut to the chase. I have a private room upstairs where we can have the rest of our meal.' I was stunned. I told him I preferred to eat in the restaurant. He told me not to be so naïve. If I wanted to be an actress, then I had to be willing to do this sort of thing. He said he had dated Famous Actress X and Y and look where that had gotten them. I was silent for a while before I mustered up the courage to politely decline his offer. 'You have no idea what you are passing up,' he said. 'With all due respect, I would not be able to sleep at night if I did what you are asking, so I must pass,' I replied." That's when Lupita knew Harvey was through with her; she asked him if they were good and recalls his chilling response: "'I don't know about your career, but you'll be fine,' he said. It felt like both a threat and a reassurance at the same time; of what, I couldn't be sure." Lupita made a vow to herself never to work with Weinstein, a vow she kept when he tried to entice her following her Oscar win for 12 Years A Slave. Related: LAPD Opens Harvey Weinstein Rape Investigation She explains why she's telling her story now -- for all the women who are like she was: "I share all of this now because I know now what I did not know then. I was part of a growing community of women who were secretly dealing with harassment by Harvey Weinstein. But I also did not know that there was a world in which anybody would care about my experience with him. You see, I was entering into a community that Harvey Weinstein had been in, and even shaped, long before I got there. He was one of the first people I met in the industry, and he told me, "This is the way it is." And wherever I looked, everyone seemed to be bracing themselves and dealing with him, unchallenged. I did not know that things could change. I did not know that anybody wanted things to change. So my survival plan was to avoid Harvey and men like him at all costs, and I did not know that I had allies in this." She concludes: "Now that we are speaking, let us never shut up about this kind of thing. I speak up to make certain that this is not the kind of misconduct that deserves a second chance. I speak up to contribute to the end of the conspiracy of silence. Amen, sister. You can read her full op-ed HERE. [Image via Apega/Michael Wright/WENN.].....»»

The former production assistant appeared with attorney Gloria Allred on Tuesday at a press conference in NYC where she revealed Weinstein allegedly forced oral sex on her at his house in SoHo while she was on her period. The brunette first met the disgraced mogul in 2004 at the London premiere of The Aviator and sexual advances began shortly after a re-introduction in 2006. Related: Kathy Griffin Puts Matt Damon & George Clooney On Blast Over Harvey Weinstein Scandal Mimi ran into him at the Cannes Film Festival that year, and asked if she could help out with his New York productions. She says he responded, "Why don't you come and see me at my hotel and we'll talk about it?" The former aspiring filmmaker then said she went to the hotel where his production company was setup in France and was taken to the room, without an assistant. The typical Harvey M.O. followed -- he apparently asked her to give him a massage, she said no and left emotionally distraught. Fast forward a few months ahead, and Harvey got her working on one of his NY sets. Following production wrap, Mimi sent him a professional thank you note, and this opened up the floodgates once more. A "completely charming" Weinstein met up with the victim in the Mercer Hotel lobby following her thoughtful email and was purely professional. Related: Harvey's Former Assistant Breaks NDA To Speak Out! A few days later, she recalls, he invited her to Paris, but she declined due tot he romantic nature of the request. He continued to call her and even showed up to her East Village apartment twice in one day, insisting she come to France. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. She shared: "I finally said, 'I'm not coming to Paris with you and I hear you have a terrible reputation with women. That's when he backed off." Ick. Upon his return from Paris, Mimi accepted an invitation to his SoHo house in order to maintain the professional relationship she had hoped for. This is where things get graphic. Getting emotional during the retelling, Miz Haleyi detailed the alleged assault: "He wouldn't take no for an answer and backed me into a room which was not lit, but looked like a kid's bedroom with drawings on the walls. He held me down on the bed, I tried to get him off of me but it was impossible. He was extremely persistent and physically overpowering. He then orally forced himself on me while I was on my period. He even pulled my tampon out. I was in disbelief. I would not have wanted anyone to do that with me even if the person had been a romantic partner." She added: "I remember Harvey after rolling onto his back afterwards saying, 'Don't you think we are so much closer to each other now?' To which I replied, 'No.'" Disgusting. In this new New Yorker piece, two actresses who had previously remained silent finally came out with their own harrowing stories. First was Annabella Sciorra, the star of early '90s hits Jungle Fever and The Hand That Rocks The Cradle who is probably best known for her Emmy-nominated recurring role as Gloria Trillo on The Sopranos. Related: Kevin Spacey Accused Of Assaulting News Anchor's Loved One Farrow says he approached Sciorra for the first article based on what some sources had told him, but she denied anything had happened. Even twenty-five years later she was still terrified of what he would do. But after the article came out and all the subsequent allegations, she knew she had to come forward with the truth -- Harvey had raped her. After starring in The Night We Never Met for Miramax, Sciorra says she was always at events and screenings for the studio. Then one dinner changed everything: "Harvey was there, and I got up to leave. And Harvey said, 'Oh, I'll drop you off.' Harvey had dropped me off before, so I didn't really expect anything out of the ordinary—I expected just to be dropped off." But after she went up to her apartment and got ready for bed, she heard a knock on the door. "It wasn't that late. Like, it wasn't the middle of the night, so I opened the door a crack to see who it was. And he pushed the door open. [Harvey] walked in like it was his apartment, like he owned the place, and started unbuttoning his shirt. So it was very clear where he thought this was going to go. And I was in a nightgown. I didn't have much on." She says he looked around to double check no one else was there as he got undressed and then cornered her, saying: "'Come here, come on, cut it out, what are you doing, come here.'" She told him: "'This is not happening. You've got to go. You have to leave. Get out of my apartment.'" But he didn't leave. "He shoved me onto the bed, and he got on top of me. I kicked and I yelled." Sciorra says he held her arms above her head with one hand and forcibly had sexual intercourse with her. "When he was done, he ejaculated on my leg, and on my nightgown." She remembered the nightgown specifically as it was a family heirloom from Italy. "He said, ‘I have impeccable timing,' and then he said, ‘This is for you.' And then he attempted to perform oral sex on me. And I struggled, but I had very little strength left in me." She says her body just began to shake violently: "I think, in a way, that's what made him leave, because it looked like I was having a seizure or something." Sciorra says she didn't tell anyone because she was so ashamed. But Harvey retaliated against her anyway: "From 1992, I didn't work again until 1995. I just kept getting this pushback of ‘We heard you were difficult; we heard this or that.' I think that that was the Harvey machine." Then when she did start working again, Harvey found her immediately. Related: Corey Feldman Tells Megyn Kelly That One Of His Abusers Now Works With The LA Dodgers! While she was filming The Innocent Sleep in London, Harvey called and sent cars to pick her up -- once even showing up himself and pounding on her door. "For nights after, I couldn't sleep. I piled furniture in front of the door, like in the movies." She says she got young producer Matthew Vaughn to secretly move her to another hotel. Vaughn (who went on to direct the Kingsman films) confirmed as much. In 1997, Sciorra starred in Copland, which Miramax produced. She went with the film to Cannes, where she was told her room was next door to Harvey's. Early one morning, there was a knock, and in her sleepy state she thought she must have missed an appointment and opened the door: "There's Harvey in his underwear, holding a bottle of baby oil in one hand and a tape, a movie, in the other. And it was horrific, because I'd been there before." She retreated into the room and thought fast: "He was closing in really quickly, and I pressed all the call buttons for valet service and room service. I kept pressing all of them until someone showed up." Thankfully staff showed up, causing Harvey to run back to his room. Related: All 50+ Women Who Have Accused Harvey Weinstein So Far Daryl Hannah also revealed her story, and sadly not for the first time. She met Harvey in the early 2000s at Cannes, where he told her he was a big fan and asked for her room number so he could call her for a meeting. That night he came knocking, then "pounding" on her door. She slipped out her balcony door -- she was on the first floor -- and spent the night in her makeup artist's room. The next night, her makeup artist stayed with her, and Harvey returned: "We actually pushed a dresser in front of the door and just kind of huddled in the room." Years later, while at the Rome premiere of Kill Bill, Vol. 2, Hannah experienced another sequel -- only this time both she and Harvey came prepared. Rather than knocking, the studio exec just barged right into her room: "He had a key. He came through the living room and into the bedroom. He just burst in like a raging bull. And I know with every fibre of my being that if my male makeup artist was not in that room, things would not have gone well. It was scary." Thankfully Hannah had prudently asked makeup artist Steeve Daviault to stay with her and watch movies all night just in case. Daviault confirmed the story to Farrow also. Hannah says she asked Harvey what he was doing, and he told her there was a party downstairs she was supposed to be at. She was wary but didn't want to be unprofessional. She got dressed and went downstairs only to find the dining room "completely empty." When she tried to return to her room, Harvey was blocking the elevator. He said to her: "Are your tits real?" Then he asked if he could feel them. "I said, ‘No, you can't!' And then he said, ‘At least flash me, then.' And I said, ‘Fuck off, Harvey.'" She says she got away but experienced "instant repercussions" -- her flight to Cannes and her hotel room were canceled, as were those of her makeup artist. Hannah says she told "all the powers that be" what had happened, including her manager, a producer, and, yes, Quentin Tarantino. Related: Quentin KNEW Harvey Weinstein 'Did A Couple Of These Things' Unfortunately, no one did anything: "And it didn't matter. I think that it doesn't matter if you're a well-known actress, it doesn't matter if you're twenty or if you're forty, it doesn't matter if you report or if you don't, because we are not believed. We are more than not believed—we are berated and criticized and blamed." Sciorra agrees. She told Farrow this victim blaming was the final straw in coming forward. After she saw how Asia Argento was being treated in the Italian press, she was incensed -- especially when commentators were asking if Asia's experience even "qualified" as rape. She says she thought to herself: "O.K., you want rape? Here's fucking rape." Sciorra has a message for those who think she or other actresses would make something like this up for publicity: "Now when I go to a restaurant or to an event, people are going to know that this happened to me. They're gonna look at me and they're gonna know. I'm an intensely private person, and this is the most unprivate thing you can do." When we see her, we're going to think about her courage. Another Harvey Weinstein Accuser Speaks Out — As Attorney Gloria Allred Compares The Scandalized Producer To Bill Cosby!

Another woman has come forward to accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment. Former filmmaker Louisette Geiss (above, left) claims the disgraced producer used a meeting about one of her films at the Sundance Film Festival to proposition her into watching him jerk off. Speaking from her attorney Gloria Allred's (above, right) offices on Tuesday, Geiss said in 2008, Weinstein invited her to the premiere of Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden. Related: Harvey's Scandal Has Fans Call For Boycott Of His Wife's Marchesa Line! After the screening, she agreed to meet him back at the restaurant hotel where they were both staying, but they were turned away because it was closing. Weinstein then innocently suggested they meet in his office attached to his hotel room. Fully aware of the rumors about the movie mogul, Geiss was hesitant at first, but agreed to join only as long as Weinstein promised he would not touch her. They even shook on it. At first, Geiss contends the meeting was great -- the two ended up having a "great conversation" about her movie, for which Harvey "seemed genuinely interested." But before the deal was sealed, the producer excused himself to go to the bathroom and re-emerged wearing a bathrobe -- under which, Geiss recalls he was "buck naked." Things got pretty weird from there. Geiss said Weinstein asked her to watch him masturbate and when she tried to leave, he grabbed her arm and "pleaded [she] watch him masturbate." If she agreed, Weinstein said he'd introduce her to Bob Weinstein (the nice brother you want to meet, apparently) and, according to Geiss, "green light [her] script, but [she'd] have to watch him masturbate." Related: Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals Harvey Tried To Proposition Her After that, Geiss left. Not just the hotel room, but the movie industry completely. Allred, Geiss' attorney, said she's heard from several other women who say they are victims of unwanted advances from Weinstein, and that the statute of limitations for each alleged encounter has since expired. To show some mercy, Allred is "inviting [Weinstein] to agree to engage in an arbitration of these claims with these women" with an agreed upon retired judge. The attorney says the proposal is "similar to what [she] suggested to Bill Cosby" amid his sex scandal -- but the comedian "was not wise enough" to agree to it. Allred notes that Weinstein will be smart to agree if he ever intends on returning to Hollywood one day, as an arbitration could be a "positive step he could take to restore his battered reputation." We'd say Weinstein has nothing to lose , as his scandal already looks to be turning into the full Cosby. [Image via Facebook.].....»»

Salma Hayek Says "Monster" Harvey Weinstein Threatened To Kill Her After She Refused His Advances — Read Her Story!

But it isn't over. Related: Renée Zellweger Absolutely Did NOT Perform 'Sexual Favors' For Harvey Weinstein! Salma Hayek shared her story in an op-ed for The New York Times on Wednesday morning revealing she too had to fight off the advances of the man she calls her "monster." First she explained why it's taken her so long to speak out, saying: "I had brainwashed myself into thinking that it was over and that I had survived; I hid from the responsibility to speak out with the excuse that enough people were already involved in shining a light on my monster. I didn't consider my voice important, nor did I think it would make a difference." But she was inspired by the women who have spoken up, even facing an environment under harasser-in-chief Donald Trump. She explains: "We are finally becoming conscious of a vice that has been socially accepted and has insulted and humiliated millions of girls like me, for in every woman there is a girl. I am inspired by those who had the courage to speak out, especially in a society that elected a president who has been accused of sexual harassment and assault by more than a dozen women and whom we have all heard make a statement about how a man in power can do anything he wants to women." Salma describes how she brought her passion project, the biopic of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, to Harvey because she knew him a bit through her relationship with From Dusk Till Dawn director Robert Rodriguez and his wife: "All I knew of Harvey at the time was that he had a remarkable intellect, he was a loyal friend and a family man. Knowing what I know now, I wonder if it wasn't my friendship with them -- and Quentin Tarantino and George Clooney -- that saved me from being raped." Salma says she actually began the process grateful to the man: "He had taken a chance on me — a nobody. He had said yes. Little did I know it would become my turn to say no. No to opening the door to him at all hours of the night, hotel after hotel, location after location, where he would show up unexpectedly, including one location where I was doing a movie he wasn't even involved with. No to me taking a shower with him. No to letting him watch me take a shower. No to letting him give me a massage. No to letting a naked friend of his give me a massage. No to letting him give me oral sex. No to my getting naked with another woman. No, no, no, no, no …" She kept saying it despite how angry it made him: "The range of his persuasion tactics went from sweet-talking me to that one time when, in an attack of fury, he said the terrifying words, 'I will kill you, don't think I can't.'" After she spurned his advances, convincing him she "was not going to earn the movie the way he had expected," he tried to hit her back in her work, making her jump through ridiculous hoops, all of which she did. Video: Is Pamela Anderson Seriously Blaming Harvey Weinstein's Victims?? Things didn't get better though. Just different. "Ironically, once we started filming, the sexual harassment stopped but the rage escalated... Halfway through shooting, Harvey turned up on set and complained about Frida's "unibrow." He insisted that I eliminate the limp and berated my performance. Then he asked everyone in the room to step out except for me. He told me that the only thing I had going for me was my sex appeal and that there was none of that in this movie. So he told me he was going to shut down the film because no one would want to see me in that role." The only way she could keep him from shutting down the film was by agreeing to do a full frontal lesbian scene in the movie. "I arrived on the set the day we were to shoot the scene that I believed would save the movie. And for the first and last time in my career, I had a nervous breakdown: My body began to shake uncontrollably, my breath was short and I began to cry and cry, unable to stop, as if I were throwing up tears. Since those around me had no knowledge of my history of Harvey, they were very surprised by my struggle that morning. It was not because I would be naked with another woman. It was because I would be naked with her for Harvey Weinstein. But I could not tell them then. My mind understood that I had to do it, but my body wouldn't stop crying and convulsing. At that point, I started throwing up while a set frozen still waited to shoot. I had to take a tranquilizer, which eventually stopped the crying but made the vomiting worse. As you can imagine, this was not sexy, but it was the only way I could get through the scene." So awful. We had no idea she had been through this. All we say was her wonderful movie. And for anyone curious why Salma's career didn't take off even more after that acclaimed film? One word. Harvey. "Even though "Frida" eventually won him two Oscars, I still didn't see any joy. He never offered me a starring role in a movie again. The films that I was obliged to do under my original deal with Miramax were all minor supporting roles." This week, it was revealed that an anonymous Toronto-based actress is heading to court over two alleged sexual assaults she suffered at the hands of the indie movie mogul in 2000. Disney has been listed as a co-defendant in this case as they owned Weinstein's Miramax at the time of the alleged incident. Related: Author Claims Dustin Hoffman Sexually Harassed Her According to the Toronto Sun, the unnamed accuser has taken the first step in launching a lawsuit as she has filed a statement of claim. It appears the woman is seeking $4 million in damages. Per the report, Jane Doe claims to have suffered from emotional distress over her unsavory interactions with the disgraced producer. The supposed victim was introduced to Harvey while working on an unspecified Miramax project. Reportedly, the (now ousted) Hollywood heavyweight told the woman she looked like a famous actress. After the initial introduction, Harvey's assistant, named Barbara Schneeweiss, arranged for a breakfast meeting between Weinstein and the woman so that they could "discuss her career and potential opportunities with Miramax." Hmmm, this already sounds familiar. The anonymous woman says she arrived at Harvey's hotel, only to learn that the sit down had been moved up to Weinstein's suite. The statement specified: "Once alone with Doe, Weinstein announced, ‘I like massages. What do you think about massages?' Doe said she thought massages were great, but that the subject was not an appropriate one for a business meeting." In response, Weinstein is said to have "chuckled" and then proceeded to give the woman a tour of his room. The visit took a darker turn when industry titan "overpowered her, pushed her onto the bed, and took his penis out of his pants." Weinstein then forced the woman's skirt up, pinned her wrists down, and forced oral sex onto her. Doe eventually broke free, however, when she ran into the assistant in the lobby, Schneeweiss merely "looked down." Unsurprisingly, Barbara (who is now an executive with The Weinstein Company) has also been named in the lawsuit. The actress reported the incident to her agent, but Harvey downplayed the situation by saying it was a misunderstanding. After Harvey left several voicemails, the actress agreed to meet with him -- but made sure to bring her agent and friend along with her. Related: Kevin Spacey Lured Teen Into His Bed By "Sobbing" Upon arriving at Harvey's hotel, Doe was somehow persuaded to meet with Weinstein alone. On the second meeting with the now 65-year-old, the statement relayed: "As soon as she did, he threw his weight onto her and tried to stick his tongue down her throat." Ugh. Jane worked with Weinstein on another occasion as she was offered a part in one of his films three years later. Jane says Harvey continued to "harass" her even though she never met up with him again. How awful. Disney has since responded to Doe's allegations with the following: "The Weinsteins operated and managed their business with virtual autonomy, and we were unaware of any complaints, lawsuits, or settlements. There is absolutely no legal basis for this claim against The Walt Disney Company and we will defend against it vigorously." Hmmmm, very inneresting. This is the second civil suit to accuse Weinstein of assault following The New York Times and the New Yorker's exposés about Harvey's sexual misconduct. We'll be sure to keep our eyes on this suit for any developments! [Image via Dave Bedrosian/Future Image/WENN.].....»»

Apparently, sometime last year, Weinstein victim Rosanna Arquette confided in Miz Fonda about the sexual harassment she suffered through thanks to Harvey. The 79-year-old shared: "I found out about [Harvey Weinstein] about a year ago. And I'm ashamed that I didn't say anything right then." Fair point. She continued: "It came as a shock and a great disappointment... I only met Harvey when I was old and Harvey goes for young because that's more vulnerable." "And Harvey goes for young, because that’s more vulnerable." pic.twitter.com/RbrjxCFU6w — Christiane Amanpour (@camanpour) October 12, 2017 As a sexual assault survivor herself, Jane took a moment to remind Christiane and her viewers that Harvey's impropriety is not some rare occurrence -- especially in Hollywood. After bringing up Bill Cosby, Jane added: "I'm glad it's coming out, I'm so proud of those fellow actors that are speaking up. I know that it has taken a long time. It is a very, very, very hard thing to do... You don't get anything out of it as the person who has been victimized but it is important that it come out. Let's not think that this is some unique, horrific... this goes on all the time, this male entitlement in Hollywood and everywhere - in offices and businesses all over the world, in bars, in restaurants, in stores women are assaulted, abused, harassed." In addition to the 30+ women who've accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct, several male actors -- including James Van Der Beek, Terry Crews, and Rob Schneider -- have revealed that they've been harassed by heavyweights in Hollywood too. More Than A Dozen Women Come Forward With Sexual Assault Allegations Against Porn Veteran Ron Jeremy — "He Doesn"t Hear No"

In a new Rolling Stone report, more than a dozen women came forward with accusations of impropriety spanning over 30 years. Related: Al Franken Accuser Leeann Tweeden Doesn't Want The Senator To Step Down Actress Jennifer Steele claimed the 64-year-old raped her twice, once at a photo shoot and another time at his apartment, in December of 1997. She told the mag of him allegedly cornering her in a bathroom: "He was like, 'I need to look at your ass so I can get hard for the photo shoot.' Then it turned into him basically sticking it in without me knowing it was happening. I said flat-out no. It stopped, but it didn't stop soon enough after I said no ... During the whole photo shoot I was thinking, 'Was I just raped? What the fuck just happened?' [But] by the time the shoot was done, I had it in my head that I had somehow exaggerated it and it was an honest mistake ... He just kinda keeps going and pretends like you didn't say anything." When asked why she didn't report the crime, Steele replied: "I was pretty promiscuous. I was a stripper. I couldn't prove it." Adding: "He hides behind other women's scarlet letters, is what he does. [He] know[s] if someone's a porn star and they say they've been raped, people aren't gonna take it seriously." Another adult performer, Kendra Sunderland, said Jeremy sucked her breasts without permission at a Dallas expo in 2015: "People expect this from him. If I went and got mad on Twitter, people would say, 'That's Ron.' But if I said a fan did it, they'd say 'That's not OK, that's crossing a line.'" As you can probably imagine, it's very difficult for sex workers to come forward with their stories considering the stigma and gray areas that are involved when it comes to being in the adult entertainment industry. Not to mention, sex workers who come forward are "likely to be blamed or disbelieved by law enforcement." With that said, Rolling Stone spoke with several people in the industry who said Jeremy's behavior is not standard. Popular performer Julia Ann said: "I think Ron is an anomaly, and you'd be hard-pressed to say there's any other person who's been able to publicly sexually harass or assault people and get away with it. It's one thing for someone to do it in their hotel room or their condo or their office or their car, but he can do it in the middle of a convention ... When there are dollar signs involved, the lines [of consent] actually get drawn much more distinctly." In 2003, Jeremy was investigated for criminal sexual conduct after a fan alleged he held her down and raped her in his Michigan hotel room. Charges were not pressed. Also in 2003, performer Ginger Lynn said Jeremy raped her while they were on location shooting a film in 1983. In 2007, another fan told police the porn star reached inside her bra, pulled out her breast, and signed it without her permission at an expo in Miami. Jeremy told TMZ at the time: "I probably signed about 150 boobs that weekend, all of which I sign 'RJ' with a heart.'" There are just a handful of the many explosive accusations against Ron for years of abuse. Related: Sylvester Stallone Allegations Bring Half-Sister's Rape Claims Back Into The Spotlight In a statement to the magazine in response to the many allegations, Jeremy said in full: "Let me first say, that I'm fully in support of the women and men who have been coming forward about being sexually assaulted. These real predators need to be taken down. My reputation is currently being smeared by these old allegations that have already been investigated and dismissed. However, I understand how social change works, and if my reputation has to get a bit tarnished along the way for the better treatment of women, and men, so be it. I will be there to support all people, men and women, that have bravely come forward to attack this systemic problem. As for the allegations against me, these allegations have been online and in print for quite sometime. This is not new or breaking news. I'm shocked you guys are picking this up after it's been reported on over and over by other publications and has been proven over and over to be false. I have never and would never rape anyone. All serious allegations have been investigated by police and dismissed by judges, as have most of the accusations of "Groping". I have never been charged nor spent one day in court for any of this. And these are old allegations. Check, Anything about me appearing in court or in jail, is public record. I was only arrested 20 years ago when I was fighting for Freedom Of Speech with Hal Freeman. The police who looked into the groping charges have always said that they watch the video from the event or whatever and that I did nothing wrong or illegal. They then ask if I want to press charges against The people making false accusations. I never have. As for the charges of Groping, I say yes, I AM A GROPER. And by groper, I mean I get paid to show up to these shows, events, and photo shoots and touch the people and they touch me. I'm not the young stud I was, but I still draw a crowd. And we are talking about things that are within reason, in front of police officer's and security that are always there as well as the tons of cameras And the general public. But seriously, if you were going to be around Ron Jeremy, wouldn't you assume that I'd be a little bit touchy Feely? Yes. This is what I do for a living. I am not Kevin Spacey, Louis CK, Weinstein, or Cosby. For over 40 years fans and fellow performers pay money and wait in long lines to meet me. They want autographs, pictures, to flirt with me, physically grab me in different areas (usually my clothed penis), they ask me to touch them and many ask to have me sign their boobs. When I take photos with fans and other performers at these conventions, signings or events, I do sometimes kiss people on the lips or the cheek, sign boobs or whatever they want. There is "put on" flirting and touching for the photos. This is exactly what people pay me for at conventions. The female performers flirt and touch too. It's what we do. If you watch these videos that Ginger Banks put out of me "groping," you see that everyone in the videos is laughing and "groping" too. That I'm not running up to them, they come to me. If anyone was ever made to feel uncomfortable by ANY of our interactions, I'm deeply sorry. That was never my intention and it breaks my heart in half. I hope that everyone reading this keeps in mind that I do tons of these conventions and adult signings. I take pictures with about 500,000 people each all over the world and have every year, for 40 years. These touching complaints are the exact same thing everyone else stood in line for. They couldn't be happier. I have never raped anyone. If anyone continues those claims, that is defamation. I will sue them in court. I'm not saying that I never met these people or interacted with them. I don't remember most of them, how could I? I may have seen hundreds people on those days. A girl said that I took her into a back room at a convention? Now this I remember. No one pushed anyone anywhere, she and a girl friend of hers asked if they could come in to the back tent with me. "Back room" was actually a small tent where the performers went to relax and eat crafty. There were seven other people in the small tent including security guard. And we took some sexy photos with each other as people looked on or looked at their phones. If I did anything wrong, that security guard who works for the convention, would have taken me down and called the police. And someone claimed that in hedonism in Jamaica, which is a nudist swingers resort, I tried to massage their leg years ago? Why is this even in an article? I am very happy that the scum bags of the earth are being taken down. They deserve it. But these allegations are pure lies or buyers remorse. In 40 years, I've never been punched by a boyfriend or anyone ever. I have been heartbroken over these allegations. Not because it affects me or my business, I can take that, but because they are lies and there are actual women and men out there Who have been victims of serious sexual assault, and so on, that are trying to get their voices heard. Again, It does bother me that there might be women out there that had some buyers remorse after our interactions. But I did nothing wrong or out of the ordinary for these conventions or events. These events are supposed to be a fun time. That video that Ginger Banks made looks like a pro Ron Jeremy video if you turn off the sound. Everyone in the videos is having fun with me. This really is a non-story. However I'm glad I had a chance to speak my side." Thoughts??? SOUND OFF in the comments (below)! [Image via WENN.].....»»

Woody Allen Has Opinions About Harvey Weinstein And They"re Just As Shitty As You Might Imagine

What in the actual FUCK, Woody Allen?! The director — who has worked with now-disgraced film exec Harvey Weinstein several times in his career — just came out in a new interview with some thoughts about the whole Weinstein sexual harassment/sexual assault situation… and it ain't good. The director -- who has worked with now-disgraced film exec Harvey Weinstein several times in his career -- just came out in a new interview with some thoughts about the whole Weinstein sexual harassment/sexual assault situation... and it ain't good. Related: Another (Very Detailed) Rape Allegation Comes Out Against Harvey Speaking to BBC Arabic, Allen started off by lamenting how sad the situation was... while also apologizing for Harvey himself (below): "The whole Harvey Weinstein thing is very sad for everybody involved. Tragic for the poor women that were involved, sad for Harvey that is life is so messed up. There's no winners in that, it's just very, very sad and tragic for those poor women that had to go through that." WTF, dude?! No!!! You don't HAVE to add that you're sorry for Harvey, or that his life is so messed up -- he did this to himself! He chose these actions! The women he victimized did not, but he did! Shame on you, Woody, for trying to empathize Harvey like he's a victim of his own making -- how is this so hard to understand?! Especially when you've got your OWN sexual abuse allegations to deal with, too?? Oh, but wait... it gets worse. Related: Harvey, Seriously, WTF Is THIS Shit?! After feeling sad for Harvey, Woody drops this little gem too (below): "You also don't want it to lead to a witch hunt atmosphere, a Salem atmosphere, where every guy in an office who winks at a woman is suddenly having to call a lawyer to defend himself. That's not right either." What. The. Fuck. The ink isn't even dry on these allegations as Hollywood is now maybe, finally forced to grapple with rampant sexism, sexual harassment, and sexual abuse issues that have plagued the industry for literally EVER... ...and look over here! It's Woody Allen, bravely making sure we keep looking out for the men in power, you know, just so they can still wink at women in the office!!!! *rolls eyes* Related: Harvey Gets Disowned By His Own Brother Woody: your opinions here are fuckin' embarrassing. Director Says He Was Kicked Off Movie After Harvey Weinstein Didn"t Find His Lead Actress "Fuckable"

"I don't cast films according to Harvey Weinstein's erection." — A quote from director Michael Caton-Jones that should have been published twenty years ago, but wasn't. According to a new interview with Buzzfeed, the Scottish filmmaker was kicked off production of B. Monkey because his pick for lead actress wasn't "fuckable," to use Weinstein's term. According to a new interview with Buzzfeed, the Scottish filmmaker was kicked off production of B. Monkey because his pick for lead actress wasn't "fuckable," to use Weinstein's term. The role went to Asia Argento instead of British starlet Sophie Okonedo. As we know now, Argento has accused the Hollywood honcho of raping her in 1997. Related: Molly Ringwald Describes YEARS Of Sexual Harassment Caton-Jones first worked with Weinstein 10 years prior on the 1989 film Scandal, when he noted Harvey would only show up to set for sex scenes. They crossed paths again when the Weinstein brothers were attached to the 1998 cult classic. The director said of the extensive casting process: "The basics of the deal was we were going to find an unknown and we were going to cast her as the lead in the film. There was extensive casting. We saw many, many girls, maybe 100 or so. And I ended up — I thought Sophie Okonedo would have been great for the part." "The trouble began" when Sophie and Michael met with Harvey at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills for approval: "Harvey kept saying to me, ‘Do you think she is fuckable?'... That was what the deal was all the time. I said, ‘She is the best actress for the job, Harvey.' And we started arguing about it. It was only when I said to Harvey, ‘Don't screw up the casting of this film because you want to get laid,' whereupon he went mental." When Michael returned to his room to cool off from the argument, he received a call from Variety requesting a comment for a story about him walking off set. Harvey was already covering his tracks. He recalled: "I was furious after being kicked off my film, and I told them all about what happened. I told them about the harassment claims, and I said 'Here is your quote: I don't cast films according to Harvey Weinstein's erection,' and they just laughed." When asked about why his response wasn't included in the original story, a spokesman for the outlet said they couldn't comment on editorial decisions made that long ago under different ownership: "As you know, the publication is under different ownership now, and therefore, we don't have a comment on previous editorial practices." Not long after the incident, Harvey gave Michael Radford the gig as director and cast Argento as the lead. Related: France Planning New Street Harassment Laws According to Caton-Jones' impression of Weinstein: "Sophie Okonedo was not fuckable and that was it. Find someone who is." Even though he was applauded by his close circle for how he handled Harvey's gross behavior, the director still faced repercussions: "I was the stupid one who stood up and told him to go to hell. I stood up to him and told him to go fuck himself. And I got a lot of support from a lot of people when I did that, but you know, I didn't make the film, so he won." As for those saying they were unaware of what was going on all these years, Michael said: "Anyone who didn't know, didn't want to know. It's like Germany after the Second World War — I've never seen so many people not knowing anything. I certainly knew what was going on at the time. And everyone around us pretty much all knew what the score was. You only had to spend five minutes with Harvey to get the nature of the man. He didn't particularly hide who he was." We're just sad this story wasn't told sooner. [Image via Alan West/WENN.].....»»

The Weinstein Company Knew About Harvey"s Settlements With Victims For YEARS!

It appears The Weinstein Company was well aware of Harvey Weinstein's predatory ways as the independent film studio was alerted of a number of sexual harassment-related cash settlements during the disgraced producer's contract negotiations. For shame, TWC!! Related: Harvey Being Investigated For Sexual Assault In England According to The New York Times, back in 2015, the company was informed of at least three or four settlements. David Boies, the lawyer who represented Harvey during this time, confirmed to the paper that TWC knew about several payouts. This directly contradicts what Harvey's brother Bob Weinstein and company chief David Glasser told staffers in a meeting on Tuesday. Board member Lance Maerov admits he did know of settlements as he handled the contract talks; however, Maerov says he assumed these were cash payouts to keep consensual affairs under wraps. Hmm. Maerov also assured the Times he only approved of the contract once he was assured that no company money was used in the settlements AND that there were no pending complaints against Weinstein (at the time). Unsurprisingly, Bob and Glasser declined to comment on the update. Looks like the TWC board members have some 'splainin' to do... [Image via Media Punch.].....»»

As you surely know, Harvey Weinstein has been ousted from The Weinstein Company following his sexual misconduct scandal. Not to mention, according to reports, the disgraced Hollywood heavyweight blames his brother and (now former) business partner, Bob Weinstein for allegedly leaking internal documents detailing decades of sexual harassment allegations to the New York Times. Related: Emma Thompson Slams "Predator" Weinstein While Bob hasn't confirmed this gossip, the 62-year-old has publicly denounced his brother and made it perfectly clear that he in no way condones his flesh-and-blood's behavior. Thus, a showdown is expected when the two brothers both tune in for TWC's Board of Directors meeting. Per TMZ, the Board of Directors has a meeting scheduled for Tuesday where they plan to discuss Harvey's firing. Reportedly, the scandalized industry titan will be present at the meeting via a speakerphone. In case you forgot, Harvey is currently in an Arizona based rehab facility where he is seeking treatment for sex addiction. The movie mogul's lawyer, Patty Glaser, will be in the room at the time of the meeting. It's said Glaser plans to address several points which prove that Harvey's firing violated his contract. Supposedly, TWC never gave Harvey a clear cut reason as to why he was being let go. Right, because it's ~such~ a mystery. *Eye roll* What's even crazier is that the attorney plans to argue that the elder Weinstein did nothing to violate his contract. As you may've heard, a provision was added to Harvey's contract back in 2015 which covers claims such as sexual harassment. The only requirement? Harvey was required to reimburse the company for any settlement and/or legal fees. Oh, and he'd have to pay a fine too. Related: Why Kate Winslet Refused To Thank Harvey In Oscar Speech! Since there were no claims brought against Harvey following the contract negotiation, his employment document should protect him. TWC isn't buying this defense as their code of conduct is what allowed them to let Harvey go. This contract dispute is likely to wind both Weinsteins up. It's believed that Bob, who is said to naturally be hot tempered, is livid about the drama and is expected to go off during the conference call. To make matters worse, if the company is unwilling to go through mediation and arbitration, Glaser will file a lawsuit on Harvey's behalf. An insider told the webloid: "There is so much crap that will be unearthed in a lawsuit, the company just can't survive it." Dramaaaaaa. Be sure to ch-ch-check back for any updates on this Cain-and-Abel-esque beef! [Image via Media Punch.].....»»

She continued, “This culture has always existed, not just in Hollywood but across the world. And many men in positions of power have gotten away with it for far too long. We cannot blame the victims here. A lot of these woman are young, just starting out in their respective fields, and have absolutely no way to stand up to a man with so much influence, much greater than theirs. If they speak up, they are shut down, and that could be the end of their career. This is all a positive step forward in changing that culture, and these young women need to know that they have a support system should anything like this happen to them. His advisers are urging him to get the hell out of town, but he just won't go. What's going on? When he checks into the clinic, he has to give up his cell phone -- just part of the normal rehab rules. Well, according to a new report from The Blast, that's a sticking point for Harvey, who is trying to keep the lines of communication with both his wife and his company open. Related: Could Harvey Weinstein Lose His Oscar Over Scandal?? As we've heard, he thinks there's still a future for him with both. Ironically, it's news of him leaving the country -- which he isn't doing -- that reportedly led to the FBI to open an investigation on him! DailyMail.com reports that the Department of Justice ordered the probe, despite the fact prosecutors weren't pressing charges, once they got wind he would be a flight risk. The FBI will now have to determine if Weinstein committed any federal crimes under their jurisdiction. Among other cases, they'll look at the claims of Lucia Evans, who says Harvey forced her to perform oral sex on him. New York State does not have a statute of limitations on rape or "criminal sexual acts." Related: Lindsay Lohan Tells Harvey Accusers How They SHOULD Have Acted The move by Jeff Sessions' DOJ is likely to be seen as highly political, considering Weinstein is such a vocal anti-Donald Trump Democrat with ties to Hillary Clinton. Innerestingly it was Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. whose head the DOJ is going over. Vance decided not to pursue sexual abuse charges against Weinstein and later got a hefty donation to his re-election campaign. Vance ALSO got a big donation to his campaign from Trump's lawyer after ordering his prosecutors to drop an investigation into a real estate fraud scheme by Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. How is any of this legal again?? It sounds to us like there might be plenty of reason to investigate Harvey, so frankly at the end of the day we don't care about the motives of the DOJ -- just the J part. What do YOU think??
