Rose McGowan’s ex-manager Jill Messick has committed suicide, and while her act undoubtedly is the culmination of years of battling documented depression, confirmed in a statement by her family, the straw that broke the camel’s back was McGowan’s very public slamming of Messick as the ultimate h8er. When slams go wrong. Messick had to deal with McGowan’s ass directly before Messick became an executive at Miramax, Harvey Weinstein’s studio, between the years of 1997 and 2003. 1997 was the fateful year that McGowan shored up her career by having sex with Weinstein in a hot tub during the Sundance Film Festival. According to modern day McGowan in her book Brave – now on bookshelves! – McGowan opened up to Messick as well as other insiders about being raped by Weinstein at the time, only to be told to sweep the encounter under the rug, and to accept the $100,000 hush money offered by Weinstein. If only it was that easy to get McGowan to shut her cat anus mouth. But Messick’s family has a slightly different take on McGowan’s chat with Messick in 1997, claiming that McGowan regretted duffing a hog to get ahead in her career, but that she never framed the encounter as rape: Following the meeting [with Weinstein], Rose told Jill what had happened – that she made the decision to remove her clothes and get in the hot tub with him – a mistake which Rose immediately regretted. Rose never once used the word rape in that conversation. Despite this, Jill recognized that Harvey had done something untoward to Rose, if not illegal. She immediately went to her bosses, the partners of Addis Wechsler, to recount Rose’s story and to insist that they immediately address the situation. They told Jill that they would handle the situation. The ensuing arrangements between Rose and Harvey were then negotiated, completely without Jill’s knowledge. At that time, all Jill knew was that the matter was settled and that Rose continued making films with the Weinsteins. She never knew any details until recently, when Rose elected to make them public. Messick’s family claims that she recently became “collateral damage” in the ongoing feud between McGowan and Weinstein. He even went so far as to release her private email correspondences to the public in order to take on McGowan. Being Hollywood tabloid fodder was apparently something that Messick was unable to handle emotionally, so, now she’s dead. In hindsight she may have chosen the wrong industry. Just saying. The fact of the matter is that Messick was a movie executive, and odds are she was ready and willing to step on the backs of emotionally and physically abused starlets in order to get to the top. It’s 90% of the job description. Hell she might have murdered a few for good measure. Practice. Execs are driven by money and greed, and I frankly can’t say too many great things about them, and if I had to guess, Messick was an asshole. But McGowan has been no more than a celebrity cyber bully for years now. The hypnosis she has on her “Rose Army” of avid followers will be broken once they see that she’s only a victim of Groupon plastic surgeons, not of patriarchial Hollywood. Jill’s death could very well lead to a domino effect that will take down Rose. Messick’s family can take solace in that. Even though she was probably terrible. Just saying. Rose McGowan Finally Says The Words — Harvey Weinstein "Raped Me"

The star has implied in every way possible that she was assaulted by Harvey Weinstein. She said she was raped by a studio exec but didn't name him, the New York Times exposé listed her as someone to whom the exec had to give a $100K payoff for "an episode in a hotel room during the Sundance Film Festival," and she is rumored to be the actress who pulled out of Ronan Farrow's article over "the legal angle." Video: Asia Argento Based A Scene In Her Movie Off Her Alleged Sexual Assault But now she's apparently giving no fucks. In a series of FIRE tweets to Amazon president Jeff Bezos, accusing him of killing her project after she spoke out about Weinstein, she finally says the words outright. Read her righteous rant (below): 1) @jeffbezos I told the head of your studio that HW raped me. Over & over I said it. He said it hadn’t been proven. I said I was the proof. — rose mcgowan (@rosemcgowan) October 12, 2017 2) @jeffbezos I had already sold a script I wrote to your studio, it was in development. When I heard a Weinstein bailout was in the works — rose mcgowan (@rosemcgowan) October 12, 2017 3) @Jeffbezos I forcefully begged studio head to do the right thing. I was ignored. Deal was done. Amazon won a dirty Oscar. — rose mcgowan (@rosemcgowan) October 12, 2017 4) @jeffbezos I called my attorney & said I want to get my script back, but before I could, #2 @amazonstudios called to say my show was dead — rose mcgowan (@rosemcgowan) October 12, 2017 4) @jeffbezos I am calling on you to stop funding rapists, alleged pedos and sexual harassers. Stand with truth. #ROSEARMY #Amazon — rose mcgowan (@rosemcgowan) October 12, 2017 Respect, gurl. Rose McGowan Breaks Down Over Anthony Bourdain Suicide In Deleted Video

Many celebs, like McGowan, are spreading resources for suicide prevention. That's good. Unlike McGowan, they're not channeling their pain into an audition reel. That's bad. The differences between good and bad. Tactful and tacky. Selfless and selfish. Human-ish looking and not human-ish looking. Needing to seek treatment and not needing to seek treatment. All things McGowan should be contemplating instead of filming and deleting this stupid video. Enjoy the big chef's kitchen in the sky Bourdain. Where you'll never have to worry about serving Rose McGowan. The post Rose McGowan Breaks Down Over Anthony Bourdain Suicide In Deleted Video appeared first on WWTDD - What Would Tyler Durden Do?.   I don’t usually willingly cover #trending celeb suicide news because I can’t imagine that people want to be remembered mostly for the last ten morbid seconds of their lives rather than whatever the hell they were passionate about, but once Rose McGowan breaks down over someone who she’s kinda of hypothetically tied to in a roundabout way, I have to write about it. The instability. The shamelessness. The botched anus lips. They call to me. Friday morning Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain was found in his France hotel room after tragically taking his own life – following Kate Spade’s suicide just days before him – and many celebs are respectfully paying tribute on Twitter. Rose McGowan is not one of them. In a since-deleted Twitter video (that Newsweek blessedly preserved via YouTube) McGowan gets all eyes back on her while pointing out her special connection to Bourdain. (She and his wife Asia Argento both went after Weinstein after being #MeToo-ed.) Sometimes, for as difficult as I know it is for a pathological narcissist manic-depressive like McGowan, you just need to blend into the wallpaper for a little bit. This isn’t the time for McGowan to garner sympathy for her own pain. Save that for a good 24-hours after another’s passing. In elementary school, I remember trying to out-mourn my mom when we both came home at the same time to find that our very old dog had passed away. She shared significantly more memories with our beloved dog, and was significantly more involved in our dog’s final, painful months. It wasn’t the time for my annoying forced theatrics. And my mom told me to STFU. And I did. And now it’s my turn. Rose, STFU. Many celebs, like McGowan, are spreading resources for suicide prevention. That’s good. Unlike McGowan, they’re not channeling their emotions into a public audition reel. That’s bad. The differences between good and bad. Tactful and tacky. Selfless and selfish. Human-ish looking and not human-ish looking. Needing to seek treatment and not needing to seek treatment. All things McGowan should be contemplating instead of filming and deleting this stupid video. As we reported over the weekend, Rose McGowan SLAMMED The Post star on Twitter for, in her opinion, being a "hypocrite" regarding her professional relationship with Harvey Weinstein. Related: Rose McGowan Goes After 'Fake' Alyssa Milano! In a since-deleted tweet, the Charmed actress -- who has publicly accused the mogul of rape -- says Streep "happily" worked for Weinstein and stayed "silent" about his alleged abuses for years. Rose wrote: "Actresses, like Meryl Streep, who happily worked for The Pig Monster, are wearing black @goldenglobes in a silent protest. YOUR SILENCE is THE problem. You'll accept a fake award breathlessly & affect no real chance. I despise your hypocrisy. Maybe you should all wear Marchesa." On Monday, the 68-year-old released a statement to HuffPost via publicist Leslee Dart where she says she truly "did not know about Weinstein's crimes," and that McGowan "assumed and broadcast something untrue about me." As we wrote in October, the Oscar winner said she "didn't know about [Weinstein's] offenses" in a previous comment to HuffPost. Read her full statement (below): "It hurt to be attacked by Rose McGowan in banner headlines this weekend, but I want to let her know I did not know about Weinstein's crimes, not in the 90s when he attacked her, or through subsequent decades when he proceeded to attack others. I wasn't deliberately silent. I didn't know. I don't tacitly approve of rape. I didn't know. I don't like young women being assaulted. I didn't know this was happening. I don't know where Harvey lives, nor has he ever been to my home. I have never in my life been invited to his hotel room. I have been to his office once, for a meeting with Wes Craven for "Music of the Heart" in 1998. HW distributed movies I made with other people. HW was not a filmmaker; he was often a producer, primarily a marketer of films made by other people- some of them great, some not great. But not every actor, actress, and director who made films that HW distributed knew he abused women, or that he raped Rose in the 90s, other women before and others after, until they told us. We did not know that women's silence was purchased by him and his enablers. HW needed us not to know this, because our association with him bought him credibility, an ability to lure young, aspiring women into circumstances where they would be hurt. He needed me much more than I needed him and he made sure I didn't know. Apparently he hired ex Mossad operators to protect this information from becoming public. Rose and the scores of other victims of these powerful, moneyed, ruthless men face an adversary for whom Winning, at any and all costs, is the only acceptable outcome. That's why a legal defense fund for victims is currently being assembled to which hundreds of good hearted people in our business will contribute, to bring down the bastards, and help victims fight this scourge within. Rose assumed and broadcast something untrue about me, and I wanted to let her know the truth. Through friends who know her, I got my home phone number to her the minute I read the headlines. I sat by that phone all day yesterday and this morning, hoping to express both my deep respect for her and others' bravery in exposing the monsters among us, and my sympathy for the untold, ongoing pain she suffers. No one can bring back what entitled bosses like Bill O'Reilly, Roger Ailes, and HW took from the women who endured attacks on their bodies and their ability to make a living.. And I hoped that she would give me a hearing. She did not, but I hope she reads this. I am truly sorry she sees me as an adversary, because we are both, together with all the women in our business, standing in defiance of the same implacable foe: a status quo that wants so badly to return to the bad old days, the old ways where women were used, abused and refused entry into the decision-making, top levels of the industry. That's where the cover-ups convene. Those rooms must be disinfected, and integrated, before anything even begins to change." [Image via Apega/WENN.].....»»

If you have the same mentality as Rose McGowan you probably believe that men are to blame for most of the problems in the world. Why take responsibility for traces of a controlled substance when you can just pin everything on Weinstein. Rose is alleging that Harvey planted drugs in her bag at the airport using “underhanded tactics.” Harvey doesn’t look like he’s a fan of getting high. Going for the top score as a serial sexual harasser requires a dedicated focus that the casual use of hard drugs can’t provide. You can’t rape anyone when you’re slipping the roofies into your own drink. So the only underhanded tactics in regards to Weinstein probably ends at his hands underneath the skirt of some starlet without consent. Alleging he’s into drugs and framing women is just slanderous. Rose McGowan is seeking the dismissal of a drug-possession case against her, citing the “underhanded tactics” of disgraced film mogul Harvey Weinstein, who she has accused of raping her. Court papers filed Tuesday reference “the underhanded targeting of Ms. McGowan” on Weinstein’s part, adding, “It is now public knowledge that Weinstein employed underhanded tactics to ‘silence’ his victims.” Most of the hot takes McGowan has about men in general sound inspired by a heroin binge. There’s no way drugs weren’t  involved in the shouting match she had with a transexual in the middle of Barnes and Noble. Harvey is not the one to blame here. McGowan obviously needs attention, rehab, and an attorney that will talk some sense into her before she’s sued for defamation by her alleged rapist. Sadly, now we're hearing one from Lupita Nyong'o. Related: All 45+ Women Who Have Accused Harvey Weinstein So Far The Black Panther actress opened up in a lengthy New York Times op-ed on Thursday, in which she says she felt "a flare of rage" in learning how many women had been through what she had: "I had shelved my experience with Harvey far in the recesses of my mind, joining in the conspiracy of silence that has allowed this predator to prowl for so many years. I had felt very much alone when these things happened, and I had blamed myself for a lot of it, quite like many of the other women who have shared their stories. But now that this is being discussed openly, I have not been able to avoid the memories resurfacing. I have felt sick in the pit of my stomach." Here is her story: "I met Harvey Weinstein in 2011 at an awards ceremony in Berlin, while I was still a student at the Yale School of Drama. An intermediary introduced him to me as "the most powerful producer in Hollywood." As an aspiring actress, I was of course eager to meet people in the industry but cautious about strangers, and the intentions of men in general." She asked her dinner companions about Harvey and was given the typical response that he could be "a bully" -- which meant it was better to have him in her corner than against her. Ultimately she says he was somewhat "charming" despite his directness, and that "he didn't alarm" her at first. So when he invited her to watch a screening of a film with his family at his home in Connecticut -- near where she was living in New Haven -- she accepted. Related: Channing Tatum Cuts All Ties With The Weinstein Company His family was actually there, at least. But when they all gathered to watch the film, that's when Harvey pounced: "I settled in for the film, but about 15 minutes in, Harvey came for me, saying he wanted to show me something. I protested that I wanted to finish the film first, but he insisted I go with him, laying down the law as though I too was one of his children." In his home with his children there. Ick. "Harvey led me into a bedroom — his bedroom — and announced that he wanted to give me a massage. I thought he was joking at first. He was not. For the first time since I met him, I felt unsafe. I panicked a little and thought quickly to offer to give him one instead: It would allow me to be in control physically, to know exactly where his hands were at all times... He agreed to this and lay on the bed. I began to massage his back to buy myself time to figure out how to extricate myself from this undesirable situation. Before long he said he wanted to take off his pants. I told him not to do that and informed him that it would make me extremely uncomfortable. He got up anyway to do so and I headed for the door, saying that I was not at all comfortable with that. 'If we're not going to watch the film, I really should head back to school,' I said. I opened the door and stood by the frame. He put his shirt on and again mentioned how stubborn I was. I agreed with an easy laugh, trying to get myself out of the situation safely. I was after all on his premises, and the members of his household, the potential witnesses, were all (strategically, it seems to me now) in a soundproof room." That time, Lupita was able to leave somewhat easily enough. She says she even justified the massage request to herself, though it helped that Harvey had enticed her with the possibility of a job (on an HBO show she later found out was already off the air). But she was still uneasy with Harvey, so when he invited her to a reading of the play version of Finding Neverland, she politely refused -- until he told her she could bring anyone she wanted. She attended with two male friends. Related: Quentin Tarantino Knew Harvey 'Did A Couple Of These Things'! Nothing untoward happened the entire evening, including when a large group went out for dinner and drinks. So the next time he invited her to a screening -- this time of Madonna's film W.E. -- she accepted. "Feeling more confident about the new sense of boundaries that we had established in our last meeting, I attended the screening on my own this time. Afterward, as planned, his male assistant arranged for me to get to the Tribeca Grill, where Harvey would be joining us. I met a female assistant when I arrived there. I was expecting that it would be a group of us, as it had been for the reading, but she informed me it would just be Mr. Weinstein. She would sit with me until he arrived. She seemed on edge, but I could only imagine how stressful it was to work for a man who had so much going on." As with other stories we've heard, the assistant "immediately disappeared" after Harvey arrived. And this time he was direct: "Before the starters arrived, he announced: 'Let's cut to the chase. I have a private room upstairs where we can have the rest of our meal.' I was stunned. I told him I preferred to eat in the restaurant. He told me not to be so naïve. If I wanted to be an actress, then I had to be willing to do this sort of thing. He said he had dated Famous Actress X and Y and look where that had gotten them. I was silent for a while before I mustered up the courage to politely decline his offer. 'You have no idea what you are passing up,' he said. 'With all due respect, I would not be able to sleep at night if I did what you are asking, so I must pass,' I replied." That's when Lupita knew Harvey was through with her; she asked him if they were good and recalls his chilling response: "'I don't know about your career, but you'll be fine,' he said. It felt like both a threat and a reassurance at the same time; of what, I couldn't be sure." Lupita made a vow to herself never to work with Weinstein, a vow she kept when he tried to entice her following her Oscar win for 12 Years A Slave. Related: LAPD Opens Harvey Weinstein Rape Investigation She explains why she's telling her story now -- for all the women who are like she was: "I share all of this now because I know now what I did not know then. I was part of a growing community of women who were secretly dealing with harassment by Harvey Weinstein. But I also did not know that there was a world in which anybody would care about my experience with him. You see, I was entering into a community that Harvey Weinstein had been in, and even shaped, long before I got there. He was one of the first people I met in the industry, and he told me, "This is the way it is." And wherever I looked, everyone seemed to be bracing themselves and dealing with him, unchallenged. I did not know that things could change. I did not know that anybody wanted things to change. So my survival plan was to avoid Harvey and men like him at all costs, and I did not know that I had allies in this." She concludes: "Now that we are speaking, let us never shut up about this kind of thing. I speak up to make certain that this is not the kind of misconduct that deserves a second chance. I speak up to contribute to the end of the conspiracy of silence. Amen, sister. You can read her full op-ed HERE. [Image via Apega/Michael Wright/WENN.].....»»

And while McGowan didn’t stab Stephen Colbert, he probably wishes that she had, because she’s truly all kinds of crazy and insufferable during this interview, and makes you wonder if the only thing separating her and someone like Amanda Bynes is a mission statement: Yes, I’ve had handcuffs on me, but no one else in this situation. Producer Jill Messick is dead, according to her family -- who are making it very clear who they believe is to blame. Messick was Rose McGowan's manager in the 1997, the year Rose claims Harvey Weinstein raped her at the Sundance Film Festival. Related: Rose Cancels Upcoming Appearances & Demands Apology After Fight With Trans Heckler Her family mourned her loss in a public statement, saying: "Jill Messick was a mother of two children, a loving wife and partner, a dear friend to many and a smart entertainment executive. She was also a survivor, privately battling depression which had been her nemesis for years. Today she did not survive. Jill took her own life." They also unequivocally blamed Rose and Harvey -- saying Jill "became collateral damage in an already horrific story" as she was caught between the two: "Seeing her name in headlines again and again, as part of one person's attempt to gain more attention for her personal cause, along with Harvey's desperate attempt to vindicate himself, was devastating for her. It broke Jill, who was just starting to get her life back on track. What makes Rose's inaccurate accusations and insinuations against Jill ironic was that she was the first person who stood up on Rose's behalf, and alerted her bosses to the horrific experience which Rose suffered." Rose claimed she told her manager about the incident, and she did nothing. Messick did go on to work as a production executive at Weinstein's Miramax from 1997 to 2003. Harvey recently used a statement attributed to her in his most specific denial of wrongdoing yet. Related: 50+ Women Have Accused Harvey Weinstein The family now insists Jill reported the matter to her bosses at Addis Wechsler management at the time and thought that was the end of it: "All Jill knew was that the matter was settled and that Rose continued making films with the Weinsteins. The 44-year-old actress, who is one of the most vocal celebrities involved in the unraveling of the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal, called out Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Amazon Studios in a series of fiery tweets. “I told the head of your studio that HW raped me. Over & over I said it. He said it hadn’t been proven. I said I was the proof,” she revealed. “I had already sold a script I wrote to your studio, it was in development. When I heard a Weinstein bailout was in the works. I forcefully begged studio head to do the right thing. I was ignored. Deal was done. Amazon won a dirty Oscar. Rose McGowan No Longer Identifies As A Woman

Or whatever exists halfway between being a woman and a man. Lena Dunham. So I guess a potato. McGowan is going head to head against Jennifer Lawrence for the crown of must mentally compromised celebrity, but after this interview, it’s safe to say that McGowan is actually winning. Which considering Lawrence’s recent behavior is really saying something. McGowan states: [I] don’t want to be a man or a woman, I’m not. I think we’re never going to solve anything by going into the man/woman construct. Step back to humanity. McGowan adds that she doesn’t want to be: … labeled as a woman when I don’t even know what that means. Well McGowan, if it makes you feel any better after two more visits to the plastic surgeon’s office you won’t even register as a person. If you look up “spiraling the damn drain” on the Internet you’ll probably find a picture of McGowan, because the woman is seriously losing her shit. It’s like she has fame ho Munchausen syndrome. The rush of sympathy and media coverage she garnered for her Weinstein allegations were not sustainable, and as progressives’ obsession with McGowan fades, she’s doing anything to get the spotlight back on her. People don’t come out as potatoes on a whim on a random podcast. She’s throwing everything she can at the wall to see what sticks, and considering I could only find details about this story in the depths of the Internet, it seems like that wall might as well be coated in Teflon. Can Someone Decipher Rose McGowan’s New Statement On Bourdain’s Suicide?

While most people send off the deceased with a wish that they R.I.P – Rest In Piece – Rose McGowan is sending off her apparent BFF Anthony Bourdain with a R.W.I.M.Y.S.A.A.M.F.A.E.A.E. – Rest While I Make Your Suicide All About Me Forever And Ever And Ever. After we took a look at McGowan’s quickly-deleted audition reel last week for an off off off off off broadway adaptation of Girl, Interrupted, you guys brought up the point that McGowan is never without agenda. This is definitely true, but now I want someone to pinpoint exactly what that agenda is after reading this new and lengthy letter she released in the wake of Bourdain’s death. McGowan wrote it with his girlfriend Asia Argento’s blessing, and seems to really want to drive home the point that Argento and Bourdain had an open relationship with: Anthony and Asia had a free relationship, they loved without borders of traditional relationships, and they established the parameters of their relationship early on. Asia is a free bird, and so was Anthony. Was. Such a terrible word to write. This tangentially bolsters the overall message that Asia is in no way responsible for Bourdain’s death, but, doesn’t it also kind of imply – especially considering McGowan’s visceral and bombastic response to his death – that she was (Was. Such a terrible word to write) somehow involved in a kinky love triangle? Which would mean that Bourdain slept with McGowan? Which would mean that he died like they do in “It Follows?” While obviously Asia is not responsible for Bourdain’s suicide, and seems happy to have someone championing her, McGowan’s history tells us that she’s what grief counselors refer to as an attention-hungry bitch, and I think Asia better watch her back. There’s something even worse than getting #MeToo-ed. Getting #McGowan-ed. Check out this mess of a letter and decipher it in the comments.   ______________________ Dear Fellow Humans, Sitting across from me is the remarkable human and brave survivor, Asia Argento, who has been through more than most could stand, and yet stand she does. She stood up to her monster rapist and now she has to stand up to yet another monster, suicide. The suicide of her beloved lover and ally, Anthony Bourdain. I write these truths because I have been asked to. I know so many around the world thought of Anthony Bourdain as a friend and when a friend dies, it hurts. Many of these people who lost their ‘friend’ are wanting to lash out and blame. You must not sink to that level. Suicide is a horrible choice, but it is that person’s choice. When Anthony met Asia, it was instant chemistry. They laughed, they loved and he was her rock during the hardships of this last year. Anthony was open with his demons, he even wrote a book about them. In the beginning of their relationship, Anthony told a mutual friend, “He’s never met anyone who wanted to die more than him.” And through a lot of this last year, Asia did want the pain to stop. But here’s the thing, over their time together, thankfully, she did the work to get help, so she could stay alive and live another day for her and her children. Anthony’s depression didn’t let him, he put down his armor, and that was very much his choice. His decision, not hers. His depression won. Anthony and Asia had a free relationship, they loved without borders of traditional relationships, and they established the parameters of their relationship early on. Asia is a free bird, and so was Anthony. Was. Such a terrible word to write. I’ve heard from many that the past two years they were together were some of his happiest and that should give us all solace. Anthony was 61, the same age my father was when he died. My father also suffered from intermittent deep depression, and like Anthony, was part of a “pull up your bootstraps and march on” generation. The a “strong man doesn’t ask for help” generation. I know before Anthony died he reached out for help, and yet he did not take the doctor’s advice. And that has led us here, to this tragedy, to this loss, to this world of hurt. Do NOT do the sexist thing and burn a woman on the pyre of misplaced blame. Anthony’s internal war was his war, but now she’s been left on the battlefield to take the bullets. It is in no way fair or acceptable to blame her or anyone else, not even Anthony. We are asking you to be better, to look deeper, to read and learn about mental illness, suicide and depression before you make it worse for survivors by judging that which we do not understand, that which can never fully be understood. Sometimes we are stuck in the unknowable, and that is where we are now, a massive wave of darkness that threatens to swallow everyone in its wake. As I watch Asia do her job on set today, I see a pillar of strength who continues to work to put food on her children’s table. I see Elizabeth Taylor carrying on filming Cat on a Hot Tin Roof despite her love, her husband, dying in a plane crash. I see all of us who have carried on. Please join me in sending healing energy to Anthony on his journey, and to all who’ve been left behind to journey on without him. There is no one to blame but the stigma of loneliness, the stigma of asking for help, the stigma of mental illness, the stigma of being famous and hurting. We must do more and be better. Anthony, our friend, would want it that way. To the media and to the random commenter, Anthony would never have wanted Asia to be hurt, I’d like to think he would want us to have the collective conversation that needs to be had about depression. Blame is NOT a conversation, it is the shutting down of our collective growth. Which is where we are now. We have a choice as humans, shrink to our smaller, uglier selves, or be better and grow as only true Phoenixes can. I urge you to be that Phoenix. With great sadness and even greater hope, I remain, Rose McGowan cc: Asia Argento ______________________ Photo Credit: Instagram The post Can Someone Decipher Rose McGowan’s New Statement On Bourdain’s Suicide? appeared first on WWTDD - What Would Tyler Durden Do?......»»

Wait, so Miz McGowan's Twitter can get shut down, but Donald Trump's can't??? Related: Lindsay Lohan Doubles Down On Weinstein Defense Smh. The 44-year-old shared with her followers: TWITTER HAS SUSPENDED ME. THERE ARE POWERFUL FORCES AT WORK. BE MY VOICE. #ROSEARMYA post shared by Rose McGowan (@rosemcgowan) on Oct 11, 2017 at 9:19pm PDT This suspension comes shortly after Rose's VVV vocal online statements about Harvey Weinstein and his sexual misconduct scandal. Not to mention, the Scream actress also put Ben Affleck on blast for playing ignorant about Weinstein's predatory ways. McGowan even told Affleck to "fuck off" at one point. While the suspension notice didn't specify why exactly her account was unable to share new messages, Twitter's online terms claim they suspend accounts if tweets have been reported to the company as being "abusive." So if a user has been "sending threats to others or impersonating other accounts," Twitter will suspend an account. Although Rose's posts have been uncensored and passionate, we're shocked to see the content has been enough to freeze her page -- especially since there are SO many aggressive trolls out there. Twitter had only this to say about the suspension: "We don't comment on individual accounts for privacy and security reasons." Sure, okay. [Image via Derrick Salters/WENN.].....»»

Following the explosive New York Times exposé which detailed the indie movie mogul's decades of sexual harassment, several women have come forward to discuss their unsavory experiences with Weinstein. One of the latest people to speak out is model Zoe Brock. Related: Nelly Responds To Sexual Assault Arrest It's been 20 years since Miz Brock's encounter with Harvey, but she clearly remembers how he allegedly lured her back to his hotel room and begged for a massage. Now, if you read the Times coverage, you know that was Weinstein's total M.O. Per Zoe's Medium post, she was only 23 years old when she was "Harveyed." Apparently, the New Zealand-born beauty met Weinstein in 1997 while they were both at the Cannes Film Festival. She revealed: "I met Harvey Weinstein in Cannes at the Film Festival. We were seated next to each other at a fancy dinner. I didn't catch his name and assumed I was talking to another hungry producer trying to sell a little movie to the big wigs. Feeling sorry for him, I went out of my way to be entertaining and nice. It wasn't until later in the meal that I asked the name of his production company." After learning that they had a mutual friend in common, the two industry professionals spent some time together at the film festival. Zoe continued: "With a dear mutual friend in common I felt safe with Harvey. The night was young and so was I. After dinner our large group, which included my Italian modeling agent, a few rich douchebags, some decorative models, and Harvey's entourage, rolled out into the Cannes night. Black town cars and gleaming limos took us to various parties where we glittered and shone like everyone else. Harvey and his assistant, Ben Silverman, never left my side." While the conversation between Zoe and Harvey could've been misconstrued as flirtatious, Brock insists that she only felt "platonic energy" for him. Which makes it so much more troubling that Weinstein and his assistant seemingly manipulated it so that she was separated from her friends: "My group was ushered into one car and I was somehow separated from them and told to get into another car with Harvey and his two friends. Stupidly, I obliged. I was told we were all going to the same place. To this day I do not know if my Italian agent was in on the ruse. My instincts tell me he was." How awful. Things only got worse for Zoe as she relayed: "The energy shifted and I became very uncomfortable... And suddenly I was alone in a remote hotel suite with Harvey fucking Weinstein. My body went into high alert. I was drunk, young, miles from home, without cash to get a cab, and no cell phone... It was time to sober up, and fast." To make matters worse, Harvey moved quickly to proposition Zoe as he was naked and asking for massage almost as soon as they were alone. The model added: "Harvey left the room, but not for long. He re-emerged naked a couple of minutes later and asked if I would give him a massage. Panicking, in shock, I remember weighing up the options and wondering how much I needed to placate him to keep myself safe. He asked if I would like a massage instead, and for a second I thought this might be a way to give him an inch without him taking a mile. I told him I was uncomfortable and that I was angry that I had been tricked into this position. He pleaded with me to let him massage me and I let him put his hands on my shoulders while my mind raced." In an attempt to escape the filmmaker, Zoe locked herself in the bathroom as Harvey pleaded with her to come out. After reprimanding Harvey through a locked door, Brock eventually emerged and found Weinstein whimpering on the bed: "Harvey, contrite, promised to cover himself and leave me alone. I came out of the bathroom and found him sitting on his bed, wearing a bathrobe, crying. 'You don't like me because I'm fat.' He whimpered." Tsk, tsk. Supposedly, the assistant tried to apologize as Zoe has claimed he told her: "'I'm so sorry,' he said. 'I want you to know that of all the girls he does this to you are the one I really felt bad about. You deserve better.'" Ben Silverman, if you're reading this, SHAME ON YOU. Smh. According to Zoe, Weinstein let her stay at his suite at the Majestic Hotel. However, after a friend warned her that Harvey would be back in the morning, the brunette fled the hotel room at 6 a.m. In an attempt to downplay the scandalous nature of their encounter, Harvey sent Zoe red roses and booked a private movie screening for her at the festival. Both presents were unwanted. Be sure to read Zoe's full account for yourself HERE. [Image via Facebook/WENN.].....»»

In case you were unaware, the Charmed alum was slated to be honored with an Ad Astra Award at the Kansas-based film festival. Sadly, 24 hours before her scheduled public appearance, organizers announced that Rose would no longer be coming. Related: All 45 Women Who Have Accused Harvey Weinstein So Far The festival noted via a press release: "We are sorry to announce that we've just been informed that Rose McGowan has canceled all upcoming public appearances due to compounding factors surrounding recent revelations in the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment case." Oh man. We have a feeling this cancellation has something to do with the reports that the indie movie mogul may still be prosecuted for raping McGowan at the Sundance Film Festival in 1997. Not to mention, it's likely that this whole scandal has been emotionally exhausting for the Scream actress. Thankfully, the festival is being VVV understanding about Rose's cancellation. Tallgrass creative director Lela Meadow-Conner added: "While we're disappointed that Rose cannot be here with us in person, we understand that her well being is the priority. We support her and our thoughts are with her. We'll seize this opportunity to amplify her message and celebrate all the women filmmakers with works here at the 15th annual festival." Well said. In place of McGowan's appearance, the festival has pulled together a panel of women filmmakers, named #WokeWomen: A Candid Conversation with Tallgrass' Female Filmmakers. LOVES it! On the quickly assembled panel, Meadow-Conner explained: "The whole world is now aware, in large part due to Rose's efforts, about the rampant sexual harassment within the entertainment industry, and so in her honor, we have pulled together a panel of women filmmakers who will be attending the festival with their films, for a frank conversation, because the message doesn't stop here." AH-Mazing. Still, it's a shame the Harvey drama got in the way of Rose attending this gig. Perhaps she'll be honored again next year?? Oh, we hope so!! [Image via FayesVision/WENN.].....»»
