"Madame Bovary" Adds Marshall-Green, Carmichael, Gourmet

[caption id="attachment_22119" align="aligncenter" width="349" caption="Logan Marshall-Green gets a trip to France."][/caption] I bet you woke up this morning and thought, "Hey, I wonder what's up with that new adaptation of the classic Flaubert novel 'Madame Bovary?'" You know, the one that will be directed by Sophie Barthes and starring Mia Wasikowska. Wait, what? That wasn't on your mind today? Well, let's put it there. Deadline reports that Logan Marshall-Green, Laura Carmichael, and Olivier Gourmet have been added to the cast. Ezra Miller, Paul Giamatti, Rhys Ifans, and Henry Lloyd-Hughes were already set to star along Wasikowska. If you didn't read it in high school or college, here's "Madame Bovary" in super brief. Beautiful Emma thinks marriage to a financially solid doctor is her escape from farm life, but she quickly realizes that the middle-class world isn't for her, and longs for the glamor of 19th century high society. She embarks on a series of affairs. It doesn't end well. Nineteenth century novels didn't usually allow female adulterers to have happy endings. Marshall-Green will play the Marquis who throws a ball that the Bovary's attend, whetting Emma's appetite for luxury and romance. Gourmet will play Roualt and Carmichael will play Henrietta, two characters who I don't really remember. Time to read it again, I suppose. Marshall-Green is in James Franco's "As I Lay Dying," which played at Cannes. He'll next be seen in "Cold Comes the Night" with Bryan Cranston and Alice Eve. Carmichael stars in "Downton Abbey" as Lady Edith, one of my favorites. Filming is set to begin this week in Normandy......»»

Feud"s Jackie Hoffman Channeled Joan Crawford During The Emmys — See How She Masterfully Shaded Laura Dern HERE!

You good, Jackie Hoffman?? It appears the comedienne is attempting to start her own A-list Feud as she negatively reacted upon losing the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Emmy to Laura Dern. It appears the comedienne is attempting to start her own A-list Feud as she negatively reacted upon losing the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Emmy to Laura Dern. In case you missed it, the 56-year-old yelled, "Dammit!" when Dern's name was called as the winner. Photos: All The Red Carpet Pics From The Emmys! Don't believe us? Be sure to ch-ch-check out the evidence (below). Best moment of the #Emmys so far: Jackie Hoffman yelling "dammit!!" when she lost to Laura Dern pic.twitter.com/euCWaRFsAy — Adam Feldman (@FeldmanAdam) September 18, 2017 However, Jackie didn't stop there as she also took to Twitter to post all kinds of petty things about Laura. She wrote: Laura Dern had famous parents. Forgive me for being from real people #elitism #Emmys2017 — Jackie Hoffman (@JackieHoffman16) September 18, 2017 I hear that Laura Dern runs a child porn ring #soreloser Emmys2017 — Jackie Hoffman (@JackieHoffman16) September 18, 2017 Ok Ann Dowd went through this 7 times before she won so I feel better now. I love her — Jackie Hoffman (@JackieHoffman16) September 18, 2017 I hear that Laura Dern looted art from Nazi victims — Jackie Hoffman (@JackieHoffman16) September 18, 2017 So savage. Now, before we get too carried away, we should mention that Miz Hoffman's "sore loser" bit is simply a bit and inspired by the Ryan Murphy show she was apart of! And, in order to prove that point, Hoffman added: I hear the media actually taking my reaction seriously? Are you kidding me? — Jackie Hoffman (@JackieHoffman16) September 18, 2017 Not to mention, prior to the award show, Jackie spoofed Joan Crawford's 1963 spiteful Oscars plan where she called every nominee and told them that she'd accept the trophy on their behalf in order to steal Bette Davis' spotlight. Well, Jackie's certainly stolen some spotlight from Dern. We wonder how Laura feels about this??? [Image via Brian To/FayesVision/WENN.].....»»

As we previously reported, the late Bobbi Kristina's former flame was arrested on domestic violence charges for his alleged actions toward girlfriend Laura Leal. Although Gordon's lady refused to press charges or sign any domestic violence paperwork against Nick, her loved ones are sincerely worried that she'll end up like Bobby Brown's deceased daughter. Related: Rihanna Shames Snapchat For Joking About Domestic Violence In case you forgot, Bobbi Kristina suffered abuse at the hands of Gordon, thus he was found legally responsible for the music industry scion's death. Not to mention, in addition to Nick's dark past involving Whitney Houston's daughter, Leal's family has already helped Laura through one abuse scandal involving Gordon. As you likely recall, Nick has been arrested for abusing Laura once before. Nonetheless, sources close to the situation have told TMZ that, Laura wants to stay with Nick. The victim recently penned a letter to the judge begging for the authorities to drop the case against her boyfriend. In the missive, she noted that she struggles from severe anger issues due to her newly diagnosed bipolar disorder. Clearly exasperated by Laura's loyalty to the troubled man, one insider noted: "She wants this bastard to kill her." To make matters worse, it's believed that Leal has cut off contact with her family. This is a sad update, as last year, Laura turned to her family following Nick's beating. Hopefully, Nick and Laura's relationship doesn't escalate to a violent place... again. [Image via WENN.].....»»

Laura Ingraham Loses Even MORE Advertisers After Renewing Her Attack On David Hogg!

Laura Ingraham returned to Fox News on Monday, as did the backlash over her recent comments about Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg. Coming back from her "scheduled" week-long Easter vacation, The Ingraham Angle host offered no on-air apology to Hogg, but instead launched an assault on the left. In her 10 minute monologue, Ingraham cried about the "Stalinist" efforts by her critics who use terms like "safe spaces" and "white privilege" to "intimidate those who disagree with them from entering the dialogue at all." LOLz, cuz y'all know how Stalin believed in the power of protest and boycotts. Related: Fox News Seriously Ran THIS Story During Michael Cohen Scandal? Yup, she pulled the "free speech" card -- after using her First Amendment to make fun of a teenage shooting survivor for not getting into college. Ingraham really thinks she can say whatever the fuck she wants and continue to have a cable news program. But advertisers continue to say otherwise. A second wave of sponsors pulled their ads from Ingraham's show following questions from media outlets and angry posts from customers on social media. Both Blue Apron and SlimFast announced they would no longer sponsor The Ingraham Program in the future, sharing on Twitter: We were unaware that our ad would be running on The Laura Ingraham Angle last night. We will no longer be advertising on the show, and will be working with our media buying partners to more closely monitor where our ads appear going forward. — Blue Apron (@blueapron) April 10, 2018 We have stopped advertising on the Laura Ingraham show and have no plans to resume in the near future. We are also monitoring all ad placements carefully. — SlimFast (@SlimFast) April 10, 2018 These are just the latest of 20 companies to pull their spots from the program after Hogg called on advertisers to do so last month. A few companies, however, announced they have no intention of pulling their ads -- like My Pillow, which ran two spots on Monday. Sounds appropriate, given that The Ingraham Angle will likely be put to sleep before the host ever dreams about issuing an authentic apology. [Image via Fox News/Twitter.].....»»
