"He Has Done This To Himself": Jeffrey Tambor Accuser Comes Forward With New Statement Defending Amazon"s Investigation

After accusations of sexual harassment by his assistant and a guest star, Jeffrey Tambor was the subject of an internal investigation by Amazon — and eventually fired from Transparent. The Emmy-winning actor did not react well to the news, calling the investigation "deeply flawed and biased toward the toxic politicized atmosphere that afflicted our set." He has [...] After accusations of sexual harassment by his assistant and a guest star, Jeffrey Tambor was the subject of an internal investigation by Amazon -- and eventually fired from Transparent. The Emmy-winning actor did not react well to the news, calling the investigation "deeply flawed and biased toward the toxic politicized atmosphere that afflicted our set." He has even found some backup in colleagues like Arrested Development costar David Cross, who said he finds Amazon's investigatory methods "curious" and less than, well, transparent. Related: Ryan Seacrest's Former Stylist Breaks Silence About Alleged Sexual Misconduct Now one of the women accusing Tambor is calling B.S. on his response. Van Barnes, whom reality TV fans might recognize from her appearances on I Am Cait, released a lengthy statement to The Hollywood Reporter, calling her former boss's claims he knew nothing about this "completely ludicrous." See the entire statement to get her side of the investigation (below): "For two years I worked as Mr. Tambor's personal assistant during the filming of the Amazon show Transparent, as well as assisting him on other projects and in his private life. During this time, I experienced an extremely volatile work environment, which included frequent and persistent sexual harassment, physical harassment, verbal abuse and abuse of power by Mr. Tambor. During this time, I made several attempts to address Mr. Tambor's inappropriate behavior with both executives of the show as well as with Mr. Tambor's personal management team at The Burstein Co., all to no avail. Mr. Tambor's assertion that these accusations were never revealed or discussed with him are completely ludicrous. In January 2017, when it was clear to me that things would not change with Mr. Tambor, I quit working as his assistant. In November 2017, Jill Solloway's company, Topple Productions, took steps to investigate Mr. Tambor's behavior on the set of Transparent in light of the accusations by not only me, but my fellow castmate, Trace Lysette, as well. An outside legal investigative firm specializing in employment-related harassment was hired, and they conducted a thorough, three-month-long investigation. The investigation was extremely professional, exhaustingly thorough and all-encompassing. For Mr. Tambor to now characterize this investigation as "biased" and "politicized" is an insult to the numerous people he has worked with through the years who were forced to participate in an investigation created by his own actions. Mr. Tambor's lengthy abuse and harassment of me continues to haunt me and is a clear indication of how we got to this point. I take no celebration in the firing of Mr. Tambor from Transparent, because this man's actions have jeopardized many people's jobs, especially many transgender people struggling to find work in Hollywood. I do however believe it is just. He has done this to himself. I have stood behind my #metoo post, because as it took shape I realized that I had an opportunity to protect the next victim and to challenge my employer to take an important position for transgender employment protection. All of these events are completely unfortunate, and I am forever changed by this. This has and continues to be a long road toward recovery and forward movement. It is highly unfortunate that Mr. Tambor has chosen to lash out at myself, Jill Soloway, and others, rather than accept accountability for his actions. I stand by my truths." Casting Call For Stranger Things (AKA Montauk) Seemingly Supports Claims That Duffer Brothers Abducted The Show!

Did Barb just blow Netflix's cover? While the jury's still out on whether the Duffer Brothers ripped off Stranger Things from a short film Montauk, a casting call obtained by TMZ seems to prove the sci-fi hit at least stole the film's title during the development stage. The casting call for the role of "Barbara" reveals the [...] Did Barb just blow Netflix's cover? While the jury's still out on whether the Duffer Brothers ripped off Stranger Things from a short film Montauk, a casting call obtained by TMZ seems to prove the sci-fi hit at least stole the film's title during the development stage. The casting call for the role of "Barbara" reveals the Netflix series was being developed under the name Montauk -- the same title as Charlie Kessler's 2012 found-footage short about top secret government experiments in Long Island. Related: Millie Bobby Brown & Her Costars "Argue All The Time"! According to the suit, Kessler claims he met and pitched his film and related feature film script titled The Montauk Project to Matt and Ross Duffer at a Tribeca Film Festival premiere party in April 2014. The timing of the casting call is enough to raise eyebrows. Though the Duffers didn't strike a deal with Kessler for his project about secret government projects, the paranormal, and a cop haunted by his past, they were clearly casting in August 2015 for a series called Montauk -- a show also about all those things. The casting call states: Role: Barbara 18 to play 16 years old, Barbara is Nancy's gossipy, less put-together, less popular best friend who can sometimes be a 3rd wheel meddling with Steve and Nancy. RECURRING Notes: Hello! You have a self tape request for the Netflix series ‘Montauk' starring Winona Ryder and by the creators of ‘Wayward Pines'. First of all, LOL @ Barb's character description. Second, clearly the Duffers and Netflix weren't shy about jacking Kessler's title. This doesn't prove the ST creators copied Kessler's full script, of course, but it sure doesn't look good for them either. The question is: could the Duffers really have ripped off Kessler more than they already "pulled from" Stephen King and Steven Spielberg? We'll find out! [Image via Netflix.].....»»

Rudy Giuliani Joins Donald Trump"s Legal Team To "Negotiate An End" To The Russia Investigation!

In case you were worried Donald Trump's legal team wasn't desperate enough, the president has somehow convinced Rudy Giuliani to hop aboard and try to save him from Robert Mueller's investigation! The former New York mayor told The Washington Post on Thursday that he hopes to "negotiate an end" to the investigation into Russian interference in the election "for the good of the country." Giuliani added he's been speaking with PEETUS for weeks about joining the group of legal advisers, which has been struggling to recruit new members following the raid of Michael Cohen's records and all that Stormy Daniels drama. Related: Trump Compares Immigrants To "Breeding" Rodents! The former presidential candidate told CNN his role will be "limited," adding that his focus will be on giving the Russia collusion probe the "little push" it needs to come to a conclusion. He will work alongside Trump's current attorneys, Jay Sekulow and Ty Cobb, whom he had nothing but praise for. Giuliani also spoke highly of Mueller, noting that they worked together in the Justice Department as well as when Mueller was FBI director and Giuliani was NY's mayor. The 73-year-old said he's going to get a list from Mueller of what is needed to "comply" with the rest of the investigation as soon as he can -- which, depending on what is asked for, can take as quickly as "a couple of weeks." As for why Giuliani took on this role, sources close to the president told the New York Times that Trump might be replacing attorney general Jeff Sessions with Giuliani in the coming months. Video: Stephen Colbert Grills Comey About "The Pee Pee Tape" Or maybe he just really fits the bill of a crooked Trump lawyer? Certified tea spiller James Comey told Rachel Maddow on Thursday night that he launched an investigation into possible leaks from the FBI to Giuliani's office after the former mayor appeared to predict Hillary Clinton's email investigation re-launching in October 2016. Comey doesn't know the result of the Giuliani investigation, he added, because he was fired before it was finished. We may not know what exactly inspired Giuliani to hop aboard Trump's sinking legal ship, but we're sure it wasn't just the honor of serving the president. Disabled Groups Slam Casting of Joaquin Phoenix as Paraplegic

There are a thousand things wrong with this world, and a thousand fixes, half of them maybe make sense. The other half are ludicrous. There are a thousand things wrong with this world, and a thousand fixes, half of them maybe make sense. The other half are ludicrous. Befriend people who can discern the difference between smart and dumb solutions and you won’t find yourself on the embarrassing end of a protest march or sit-in. Gus Van Sant has a new movie coming out. Which means it’s a great day in acting town for young twink boys. Van Sant chose to put Joaquin Phoenix in the bio pic lead role of controversial cartoonist, John Callahan, a car-crash injured paraplegic bound to a wheelchair. The Ruderman Family Foundation for promoting disability inclusion particularly tore into the filmmaker and producers: “It was a mistake for director Gus Van Sant to cast Joaquin Phoenix in his upcoming biopic about disabled cartoonist John Callahan. The time has come for the entertainment industry to audition and cast actors with disabilities to play leading roles portraying disability. As we enter 2018, American society no longer finds it acceptable for white actors to play black, Asian or Hispanic characters. It is equally unacceptable and offensive for able-bodied actors to be cast inauthentically in the roles of characters with disabilities.” The Foundation claims that the Phoenix casting is both offensive and a missed opportunity to cast a disabled actor. Though they didn’t say which element angered them more. They do make a point. Because casting is no longer about finding the right actor, but hitting the appropriate demographic boxes, why not hit the affirmative action button on casting a disabled person? The art of acting, such that you may suggest that exists, inherently accepts that actors are playing roles, not themselves. For instance, my career peaked in fourth grade when I portrayed a tree on stage. Prior to that, I was a parked car. Acting range aside, the conceit is that theatrical dramatizations are not the same as real life. Van Sant probably doesn’t give a shit what level of disability his lead actor has, he merely wants talent, and perhaps a name big enough to get some production cash. You can’t name a wheelchair bound actor, which makes the latter funding point fairly germane. It is reasonable to accept that a paraplegic actor might bring something to the role of a wheelchair bound guy, but the character in the movie loses use of his legs at 21. What if the wheelchair bound actor didn’t experience anything similar. Is it possible Phoenix could wrap his head around losing use of his legs more so than a guy who has never walked could portray a former ambulatory person. And how would you even film those scenes, at least on a Van Sant film budget? Theoretically, it would be nice if there were casting for people who otherwise had trouble finding gigs. It’s acting, not skyscraper welding. Pretty much anybody with a desire to get attention and a hint of hatred toward their father can emote for a camera. There’s no reason why an Asian guy, a disabled guy, or Hmong woman can’t portray roles as well as the angry #MeToo perfect features yoga set of Brentwood. Though none of those people will be in a Gus Van Sant movie either. Too much underaged nipple. Related: Tom Sizemore Dropped From Horror Movie Project Sadly, some women fell for Andy's "coaching technique," as they felt compelled to please him since he was a key way to land entry-level parts. Man, oh man. To make matters worse, since the firing was never publicly disclosed, Henry went on to work on MAJOR motion pictures -- including Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, The Descendants, The Amazing Spider-Man, and Elysium. Tsk, tsk. Thankfully, five women have made the brave decision to come forward to detail their unsavory experiences with Andy. These women became connected thanks to the #MeToo campaign. Understandably, the actresses feel they were preyed upon. And it seems as though Andy thoroughly planned out his manipulation as the ladies' respective encounters with Henry were practically identical. Per the accusers, Henry used the same scene from a 2006 episode of the procedural, where a character struggles with a rare genetic disorder that causes excess hair growth. On meeting the casting professional at Reel Pros, actress Jenny Kern recalled: "His line was, 'It's a really challenging scene and I can tell you can handle it, but it definitely requires more work than what we do here. Do you have any time to stay afterward to push a little harder with [the material]?' I was really flattered." Andy had Jenny perform the scene a few times before suggesting that, in order to achieve "more vulnerability," she should take her bra off. According to Kern, the industry vet became dissatisfied with the situation and "incrementally asked [her] to take [her] clothes off." Jenny eventually complied so that she could get the meeting over with. After manipulating Jenny into her underwear, Andy began to improvise a scene that was highly inappropriate. She continued: "He started saying things, improvising as this detective character: 'I can see your tits,' 'I can see you shave your pussy.' He did it until I finally cried." He ended the meeting by thanking Jenny for her performance. How awful. Tessa Goss had a similar run-in with Andy while at Culver City's acting center ITA. She added: "He prefaced by saying, as he'd playact frustration, running his hands through his hair, 'This is going to seem super-crazy, but don't think it's super-weird.' That he works with actresses all the time. His thing was that [the performance] would feel more authentic if you can feel your nipples against your clothes. I thought, 'I need to get out of here.' But there's also this sick actor part of me that thought, 'I need to get out of here as friends.'" Tessa chose to leave the meeting, as she was pregnant with her third child and not eager to show her baby bump to a stranger. Goss later emailed ITA about Andy's behavior and later received the following reply: "Dear God! Just tell me that no one asked you to disrobe!!!" SMH. Andy's advances left quite the impact on his victims as many began to doubt their talent following the upsetting invitations. Catherine Black, who rebuffed Henry's request at AIA Actor's Studio, shared: "It really planted a seed in my head, that maybe I wasn't good enough. Of, what did I do wrong? It made me feel ashamed." Through AIA, Andy met another victim, whom he allegedly groped. Mandy June Turpin, who claims Henry touched her shoulders and breasts during their session, relayed: "I thought, 'Thank God, somebody said something.' You're afraid to speak up. You're someone without credits. And he went on to work again in the business anyway." Andy also preyed on an intern at the casting firm where he worked, named Ulrich/Dawson/Kritzer. Reportedly, Henry offered to give aspiring star Jacqueline Mueller private acting advice back in 2008. Using the same CSI scene, the casting expert advised the intern to take off her bra, a request she followed. When Andy told her to unzip her sweater, Mueller realized the situation had become one of misconduct. Related: Sixth Woman Accuses Roy Moore Of Sexual Assault Jacqueline remembered: "Then he asked me to unzip my sweater. If I'd unzipped it, I would've been topless. I felt disgusted and bamboozled." In order to "loosen" her up, Andy then offered Mueller a glass of whiskey. She quipped: "I don't remember him reaching out to the men in the office to 'help' them." Ugh. Andy has since responded to the allegations with the following statement: "Nine years ago, I tried what I thought was a coaching technique, but which I learned very quickly was foolish and foolhardy. It was brought to light almost immediately, and as you were correctly informed, I was terminated from my employment in 2008 as a result. I was then, and remain to this day, profoundly sorry about these incidents. I took responsibility right away for using nudity as a technique to explore the vulnerability portrayed in a scene, without being cognizant of the potential damage to the human being in the room. I was not aware of the allegations of fondling until now, and do not believe or recall that such a thing happened. I never meant to make anyone feel pressured into doing anything, nor did I ever consciously intend to hurt anyone. My job was gone, my standing in the entertainment community was greatly lowered, and my career options were severely curtailed. I lost my marriage and declared bankruptcy as a result. I was punished for my actions, but I have spent the last nine years rebuilding myself into a person who could never do such a thoughtless and careless thing again. I have formally converted to Judaism, I have dedicated my life to the service of God and to trying to make some repair in this world. And I have striven to live and work every day as honorably and as honestly as possible. I am, again, inexpressibly sorry for the pain that these incidents caused." Looks like someone is REALLY trying to downplay this controversy. Is there a way to fast track his ousting??? [Image via YouTube.].....»»

Guess Kate Upton Won’t Cooperate With Investigation

This February Kate Upton came forward with sexual assault allegations against Guess co-founder Paul Marciano – claiming that since their very first lingerie photoshoot together in 2010 Marciano has assaulted her and acted inappropriately towards her. To be quite frank if I knew I was going to be spending a day with a writhing barely-clothed Kate Upton I’d probably rub one out on the car ride over so as to be my utmost gentlemanly self during the shoot. Ben Stiller in There’s Something About Mary-style. But Marciano didn’t get this memo, and Upton didn’t get the memo that every model ever is sexually molested, so here we are. Sort of a miscommunication situation. Guess has placed Marciano on temporary leave, and is conducting an internal investigation into Upton’s claims. A gropy middle-aged exec molested a young model. How will they ever crack this code. Once Upton discovered the Guess would be using Marciano’s personal lawyer for the investigation she flipped her Insta shit, and declared that she would in no way cooperate with Guess due to the solidarity they’re showing with Marciano: Hearing how this ‘investigation’ is being conducted, and also knowing a strong fear of retaliation still exists within Guess’ corporate offices, is extremely disappointing and upsetting. The #MeToo movement is not one of smoke and mirrors, or for corporate office PR stunts to impress shareholders — it’s a call to action for TRUE change. To conduct an investigation like this seems like a stunt, and is a clear indication to me that Guess is not taking these claims seriously, nor are they committed to making changes at the highest levels. Until Guess makes a commitment to conduct an unbiased investigation, I have declined to participate. I look forward to participating if and when Guess retains a truly independent firm to run the entire investigation. You can read her full Instagram post below, but basically Upton is secretly thanking the #MeToo Gods that she’s uncovered another layer of adversity. The real solution to this whole thing would be to employ more ugly models that no one would want to molest. Thoughts, Gigi and Bella Hadid?   Let’s make true change happen! #metoo #TRUEchange A post shared by Kate Upton (@kateupton) on Feb 28, 2018 at 1:39pm PST Photo Credit: Sports Illustrated / Pacific Coast News The post Guess Kate Upton Won’t Cooperate With Investigation appeared first on WWTDD - What Would Tyler Durden Do?......»»

She had quite a severe head injury, but she was very much alive on the backseat and the same people who caused the accident, instead of helping, were taking photographs of her dying on the back seat. Then those photographs made… made their way back to news desks in this country.” Princess Diana passed away on August 31, 1997 after a car accident with her companion Dodi Fayed and the driver, Henri Paul in Paris, France. What I got was NBC promising to do a thorough and confidential investigation of my claims. Sadly, NBC did not interview 10 of the witnesses I provided, including my therapist and my boyfriend at the time. After closing the books on its ‘inconclusive’ investigation, NBC refused to provide me with any of its findings or even the HR reports from my 2012 claims,” Suzie wrote in an essay for THR. “I recently contacted the LAPD and filed a police report so I’m guaranteed a real investigation this time. Ryan‘s team of lawyers, who are also representing Harvey Weinstein, do not intimidate me. If Ryan is so innocent, why hasn’t he called me a liar or sued me or presented evidence of my so-called extortion plot?” she added. Ryan‘s lawyers have responded, “After Mr. Seacrest denied each and every one of Ms. Hardy’s decade old claims, after Mr. Seacrest refused to pay Ms. Hardy any money whatsoever, and after an independent legal investigation did not support her claims, Ms. Hardy went to the press attacking the legitimacy of the investigation. Now, after being refused money and unhappy with the independent legal investigation, Ms. Hardy now claims to have spoken to the authorities. We will continue to cooperate and we remain confident that Mr. Seacrest will once again be cleared of any wrongdoing.”.....»»
