ICYMI: Apparently The "Tax Cut" Bill Also Tries To Make Abortion Illegal…

This "tax cut" bill is looking worse and worse every day… The GOP is trying hard to jam a bill through the Senate, having already passed it in the House, supposedly all about tax cuts. The GOP is trying hard to jam a bill through the Senate, having already passed it in the House, supposedly all about tax cuts. Related: Former Trump Campaign Coordinator Will Plead Guilty To Child Sex Trafficking Charge But so far we've seen this monstrosity: - INCREASES taxes on many people who make less than $200,000/year while greatly LOWERING them on billionaires - REMOVES tax exemptions for teachers, grad students, and the chronically ill while ADDING them for private jets and golf courses - REMOVES the individual health insurance mandate from Obamacare, something experts agree is just another way to kill it since they can't repeal it - is mostly an effort to keep billionaire donors giving money to Republicans (Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, and Chris Collins have all admitted as much publicly) But this may be the craziest part yet! Apparently this bill, which again the Republicans are selling as "tax cuts" -- actually has language in it to define an "unborn child" in order to establish "personhood," something anti-abortion activists have been attempting as a way to get Roe v Wade overturned. The excuse is to give parents a way to name their future children as beneficiaries on college savings accounts, but that's something people can already do without this legal language. Sarah Lipton-Lubet, vice president for reproductive health and rights at the National Partnership for Women and Families, tells Huffington Post what this really is all about: "The hope is that if they throw enough anti-abortion language at the wall something is going to stick. It's a dubious strategy. It's an affront to women." Well, attacking, discrediting, and minimizing women is pretty much the GOP's MO. This is what's more important to Donald Trump than whether a Senator is alleged to have molested a 14-year-old. [Image via CNN.].....»»

Rosie O"Donnell Literally Offered Republican Senators $2 Million In CASH To Vote Against GOP Tax Bill!

The comedian took to Twitter on Tuesday to offer millions in cash to senators who vote against the "criminal" tax bill. Her tweets specifically targeted Republican Senators Jeff Flake of Arizona and Susan Collins of Maine, who received offers of $2 million EACH -- in cash (!!) -- from the TV personality to vote "nay." Related: Eminem Talks Trump & Finding Dates On... GRINDR! In her tweet to Collins, Rosie even specified that the senator could give her a call if she wanted to negotiate a number -- but sadly, Rosie's Twitter lobbying didn't pay off. Early Wednesday morning, the Senate passed the $1.5 trillion tax bill, with both Collins and Flake voting in favor of the legislation that slashes tax rates for corporations and provides new breaks for private businesses. The bill will now go back to the House to overlook a procedural issue, and, with the passing of a revote, will head to POTUS's desk. Related: John McCain Tries To Hit 3M Followers & It Hilariously Backfires! Offering money to a lawmaker in exchange for changing a vote is technically illegal, but like all good lobbyists, Rosie quipped that she was really just offering lawmakers "a Christmas gift"... in exchange for changing a vote. After the vote, the comedienne made it seem like her incentive was, in actuality, just a joke. Serious or not, it makes you wonder how much the votes of these senators are actually worth. See Rosie's tweets (below): so how about this i promise to give 2 million dollars to senator susan collins and 2 million to senator jeff flake if they vote NO NO I WILL NOT KILL AMERICANS FOR THE SUOER RICH DM me susan DM me jeff no shit 2 million cash each — ROSIE (@Rosie) December 20, 2017 susan - 2 million dollars cash call if u want to negotiate do u think your family is proud of u @sennatorcollins woman - mother - grandmother - sister - daughter u have betrayed us all dear god ask for forgiveness redeem ur soul tomorrow #NOTSEXIST pic.twitter.com/wa0QcMXNk2 — ROSIE (@Rosie) December 20, 2017 i will HAPPILY pay any GOP senator 2 million dollars to vote NO they have been paid obviously — ROSIE (@Rosie) December 20, 2017 heres the thing al - i am not looking to give more money to a corrupt system - however - this bill is criminal - i therefore offer 2 million for any GOP senator that votes no - to them personally - or directed to A NON PROFIT OF THEIR CHOICE no strings attached DO WHATS RIGHT — ROSIE (@Rosie) December 20, 2017 well its not a bribe - its a gift - so we can say MEWRRY CHRISTMAS AGAIN 2 million for a no vote no strings attached a christmas gift GOP SOULS FOR SALE CONTACT ME — ROSIE (@Rosie) December 20, 2017 [Image via Ivan Nikolov/WENN.].....»»

There’s nothing wrong with a little equality joining the likes of Wesley Snipes and Mike Sorrentino. She’s under investigation for forgetting to pay Uncle Se Habla Espanol Sam in Spain from the years 2011 to 2014. It’s hard not to feel bad for her when she’s making all of that money, sometimes remembering you’re still obligated to pay taxes can slip your mind. Her representatives are denying all obligations. Several months ago, Shakira and other famous music artists, such as Madonna and U2 frontman Bono, were named in the “Paradise Papers” leaks that detailed offshore tax arrangements of high-profile individuals. For a woman who manages to infiltrate every radio station worldwide you would think she would remember to pay tax. Having a warrant out for your arrest in multiple locations across the world kind of makes it hard to escape. You can’t change your name and move to Mexico if you already owe them too. If she’s not paying Spain I can just imagine who else she’s handed IOUs to. Backing out on money owed for living in Barcelona is brave. Spain just made the news for beating up Catalan voters for trying to separate themselves. Just imagine the treatment someone like Shakira would receive in jail. The pretty ones don’t last long. Over the weekend, John McCain got heat for flip-flopping his position on the national debt by voting late Friday night in favor of the GOP's controversial tax plan. So, what's a Senator to do in the days following such a betrayal to the American people? Focus on his Twitter numbers! Related: McCain Says Hillary Clinton Should 'Shut Up' About Election Loss! Like an indie rapper trying to get noticed or your teen cousin who cares way too much about social media, the Republican told followers to "spread the word" so he could reach that healthy 3M. On Monday, McCain -- or, more likely an unpaid intern from Arizona State -- tweeted: We're only 74 Twitter followers away from 3M - spread the word & help us reach this big milestone! — John McCain (@SenJohnMcCain) December 4, 2017 Oh, people spread the world, alright -- of how sad(!) it was that a respectful politician would care so much about hitting a Twitter "milestone" days after proving he doesn't actually give a shit about the importance of regular order in the Senate. On Friday, Democrats requested more time to review the nearly 500-page bill they received hours before the vote, but were denied the request. McCain, who dramatically called for "bipartisan support" for the health care bill earlier this year, was one of the 51 Republicans who voted in favor of the bill. Not only did McCain's Monday tweet trigger a storm of criticism, it completely backfired: the Maverick is now down to 2.98 million followers. See the outraged responses (below): john ... really? — ROSIE (@Rosie) December 4, 2017 Unfollowed... should have reconsidered that tax scam vote.. 💁🏻 — Lacy 🌊 (@staygold8512) December 4, 2017 #UnfollowMcCain You voted against your constituents & chose party over country. Shame on you. — Kay Cohen (@kayrcohenny) December 4, 2017 Unfollow John McCain today. After throwing millions of Americans off their healthcare, he wanted to hit 3M followers today. He has, but let's subtract a few — Lee in Iowa (@Lee_in_Iowa) December 4, 2017 the biggest injustice of all is that no one can get into the gawker account to make it unfollow john mccain too pic.twitter.com/T45RrtFm0x — Ashley Feinberg (@ashleyfeinberg) December 4, 2017 Maybe you should be more concerned with actually reading the tax bill you voted for to enrich yourself rather than begging for Twitter followers. — Sherri D (@ncwannabe) December 4, 2017 Since you threw Americans under the bus for party loyalty I wouldn’t count on gaining any new followers unless they’re Russians. — Rebecca Alford (@bec1164) December 4, 2017 Senator McCain, I’m going to unfollow you for voting for the #GOPTaxPlan. Was all that previous talk about "regular order" completely meaningless? I’ll follow again when you return to the principles you declared for yourself earlier this year. — nate dern (@natedern) December 5, 2017 you are now down 28k followers. I am willing to take your followers and offer 100.00 for every 100th I gain (capping at 500.00) and donating to their charity. Many actors have been called out for working with the filmmaker as he has been accused of sexual assault by his daughter Dylan Farrow. “This year has changed the way I see and feel about so many things; it has been a thrilling and, at times, enlightening education. I have, to this point, chosen projects from the perspective of a young actor trying to walk in the footsteps of more seasoned actors I admire. But I am learning that a good role isn’t the only criteria for accepting a job —that has become much clearer to me in the past few months, having witnessed the birth of a powerful movement intent on ending injustice, inequality and above all, silence,” Timothee wrote in his statement on Instagram. “I have been asked in a few recent interviews about my decision to work on a film with Woody Allen last summer,” he added. “I’m not able to answer the question directly because of contractual obligations. But what I can say is this: I don’t want to profit from my work on the film, and to that end, I am going to donate my entire salary to three charities: TIME’S UP, The LGBT Center in New York, and RAINN. I want to be worthy of standing shoulder to shoulder with the brave artists who are fighting for all people to be treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.” Timothee is currently getting Oscar buzz for his work in Call Me By Your Name. He stars alongside Selena Gomez and Elle Fanning in the upcoming Woody Allen film. See photos of Timothee filming A Rainy Day in New York in the gallery….....»»

Donald Trump Aide Contacted Leah Remini About Revoking Scientology"s Tax Exempt Status

According to a report from the Huffington Post published on Thursday, in May 2017, longtime Donald Trump aide Lynne Patton contacted Leah Remini saying the President believes the Church of Scientology should have its tax exemption revoked. Related: Donald Trump Says Texas Church Shooting 'Isn't A Guns Situation' The Department of Housing and Urban Development official told the actress via Twitter direct message: "From The moment I saw your series I told President Trump & his family we needed to revoke their tax exempt status. They couldn't agree more, but please don't publicize that yet. I want to do more due diligence on what the IRS has attempted in the past (or maybe you can enlighten me), then I'll identify who we need to connect with again." On the same day, Patton wrote: "This is going to get done in the next 4 years or I'll die trying. Knock on wood!" While its unclear if Lynne ended up contacting the IRS, if she did with Trump's blessing, it would be completely unethical and possibly illegal. According to Larry Noble, former general counsel of the Federal Election Commission: "For the White House or any administration official to try and influence who the IRS targets, for whatever reason, is wrong and could result in a violation of the law... The IRS must make these decisions independently without any influence by the White House or administration officials." Lynne last contacted Remini on June 8 where she sent over a link to a New York Post article about Tom Cruise's role in Scientology. The Trump-favorite also wrote in the email: "By the way, when things calm down about Comey, etc, and I get more due diligence on the IRS, I'll circle back." In an interesting twist of events, the former VP of The Eric Trump Foundation was publicly seen months later with an unnamed Scientologist who is making waves in the Trump world. Weird, weird, weird!
